    3. @Learn With Seb hi! not really related to the video but may i ask what audio/where did u get that first bgm on this video? pls i need it lmao thank u! nice video btw <33

  2. The content here is incredible- thank you! As a new user of Canva and a business start-up managing all the creatives, and not to put you on the spot, is it worthwhile getting a paid plan? There seems to be many options and clearly I don’t want a plan that exceeds the creative needs of IG and FB ad creations…any thoughts?

  3. Thanks for the tips. Very useful. I am also using canva app on my phone. I have a problem, whenever I save my design to my phone, whether as image or pdf, my design will change as well. Ie, text size, elements color that I’ve changed will go black. Have anyone has the same problem? How to solve this?
    Thanks

  4. Thanks! It was USEFUL and FAST! πŸ™‚ When choosing letters frames, is there any trick to make sure that the distance between them is the same? I’m a newbie here

    1. Thanks πŸ‘ That’s what I was aiming for. I don’t like wasting anyone’s time. Thanks for stopping by.

  5. Great tutorial Seb πŸ‘Quick, Easy to follow and most importantly….Really useful πŸ‘πŸ‘ πŸ‘Thanks πŸ™

  6. Hey Seb, thanks for your tutorials, its very useful. I have one question, how can I define the size (measurments) of a document, instead if I want to make a postcard A6 format. And how can I set a bleed line for the printing supplier who will print my postcards?

  7. Can i use/sell the Pexels and pixabay photos if i like change color or add a text to websites like teespring and redbubble for t-shirt designs?

    1. You can’t sell photos or videos licensed under the Pexels License as they are. This includes selling them as prints (posters, postcards, etc.) or on physical goods (t-shirts, cups, etc.).

You can only sell Pexels photos or videos if you have edited, modified, or otherwise added value to the image. And you’re not allowed to sell or upload Pexels photos or videos on other stock photo or wallpaper platforms. 1. Learn With Seb lol, you don’t need those things mate, you have good content. Thanks for checking out my channel. I figured if I used this name, it would lower expectations and no one could complain about my songs or playing πŸ˜‚

    2. Haha. You gotta try these things eh! I like your music. Your lame channel name actually worked. πŸ˜‚ All the best to you bro!

  8. Hello! Thanks for your great tips. My tool bar went bye bye for unknown reasons. How can i get it back (it was under the main top bar). Please HELP!

    1. Hi Monica, do you mean the secondary tool bar underneath “file” and “resize” when in the
editor? Normally a secondary tool bar appears when an element is selected on the page. This toolbar normally changes and disappears when nothing is selected. Are you using canva in a browser?

  9. Seriously dude, your voice….Please tell me your doing other amazing things. Your voice is amazingπŸ₯°

    1. Thank you Candyce. I appreciate your kind words. What other things do you think I could do? I’ve not really done any other voice over stuff. πŸ™‚

  10. Amazing video. It helped me out through a tight spot! The best part is that it is regarding the free version. Thank you so much!!!!!

    1. Yep, 100% works on the free version. This was all filmed using the free version so I know all the tips apply for free. Thanks for stopping by Raj. πŸ™‚

  11. I am only discovering this rare germ of information NOW..wow..THANK YOU SO MUCH!I have been using canva for a few years now without knowing a lot of those tips!

    1. Wonderful! Glad it was helpful. I appreciate you for watching Motlhalefi and for leaving a positive comment.

  12. Nice video Seb! However, your demonstrations were done very fast so it was hard to process all of your content. I had to watch your video several times to fully understand all of your key points!

    1. Also, you’re thumbnail is outstanding! It stood out among all the other thumbnails on the search for using Canva

    2. Glad you liked the video. I appreciate the feedback. I have since slowed down after receiving other comments about this. I know some people like the fast delivery and some like it more even paced. I will try to reach a happy medium. Thanks for watching and for leaving useful feedback. πŸ™‚

  13. I’ve been using Canva for a long while now and I thank you for letting me know about number 13 which will now be handy for my work πŸ™‚ Thanks much SEB!!!

  14. Hi Seb, great video, so helpful! Thank you! Just one questions, do I have to use a background verses a picture as a background to change the color of the background? When I used a photo, I couldn’t change the color as you directed in your video. Wondered if I was doing something wrong?? Thanks!

    1. Good question Nancy. You can use a picture as a background, you just need to reduce the transparency of the picture to below 100%, then you can change the colour. I only realised this after I made the video after other people asked the same thing.

  15. Thank you so much! I really want to study graphic design and I just found Canva so helpful, also ’cause it’s free! This video helped me so much! I love the letter frames and the color palette generator. And oh how I never knew about the free photos on that more button. πŸ˜πŸ˜… Good start for beginners! You’re a great help and a real blessing to many! Keep making videos! God bless!

    1. @Learn With Seb you’re always welcome! Please know that all your efforts and labor are never in vain. I appreciate the response too thank you πŸ˜„

  16. You have so smoothing voice. Try creating meditation Videos… πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ BTW video is awesome. Specially gradient and image latters

    1. Thank you kindly. I appreciate the feedback. Good idea. This is something I am seriously considering. Stay tuned.

  17. I have been making digital designs in Canva and I am planning on selling them on Etsy. Does Canva charge the buyer a fee if the canva download I created have “pro” elements in it.? Is there any knid of work around? My items to list are in the form of a pdf that has a link that opens to a png editable file and takes them to Canva to edit. I’ve been grouping all the elements of the design together and then locking them. I only leave the text unlocked so the customer can edit it. I have 200 plus designs that I have created in Canva and have uploaded about half of them into Etsy. I do have a Pro account Help!!
    Thanks in advance

  18. Hi, thank you for the tips! but I have one question, on your 14th tip (4:58), there was a “Design School” option on the menu. But I don’t have it in mine. I’ve tried in both my pro and regular canva account but still, i couldn’t find it. Could you please tell me why?

  19. Hi Seb: You surely have very good communication skill where you keep your speech at a level between strong interest & conservative. So, it’s very pleasant to listen to and not disrupting or sway the students interest & focus in learning. And you teach everything genuinely (no frills). Some of the YouTube educational video were prepared by some people who can chat it away but not really communicating. Worse when they add their unnecessary fabulously looking and facial expressions to try to make their videos look interesting instead of truely presenting the knowledge.
Thanks for this 17 very useful pieces of knowledge on Canva. You can be sure I’ll see all of your videos as I go along on becoming well developed user of Canva.
    Chad

    1. Thank you Chad. I appreciate your positive comments and I’m glad you found the video useful. I always try to make my videos as succinct but as detailed as possible and I don’t like to waste people’s time so I don’t talk much. Thank you for recognising this fact and I wish you good luck with your canva projects. πŸ™‚

  20. Canva has been always helpful! Whoever read this, how much do you like CAnva? =) may you all enjoy the tutorial and if you like to check out, I also have one Tutorial on my Channel. XD

    Xoxo

  21. I am a beginner to canva but have been learning it pretty well. However, the first 5 tips got me! These are some really good tips especially for beginners. I have to save this video. Thanks

  22. Perfect video, I know man how much time and efforts it takes to create oneπŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―βœ”βœ”βœ”βœ”βœ”

  23. Came here to learn new Canva stuff but I’m pretty sure I just found my favorite new ASMR channel instead πŸ˜‚

  24. Brilliant – thank you so much. I will have to watch this a number of times before it osmosises into my brain. Maybe I will play it on a loop as I sleep.

  25. thanks for the video! However, I’m struggling with putting writing over my picture. Whenever I upload my picture, it takes up everything and covers my writing and background. What should I do?

    1. Select the picture. Click “Position” in the top menu. Then click “Backwards” several times. This will push the picture behind the text and other elements. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you for your comment. I was in a rush to get out as much information as possible as I don’t like wasting people’s time. Feel free to reduce the playback speed. Otherwise I appreciate you for watching. I have tried to slow down in my newer videos. πŸ™‚

  26. Time for a new video, Seb. This was great, but Canva has come a long way with all the new effects and such. I’d love to see an up to date version.

    1. @Antony Reed – Hypnosis & Affirmations No worries. I like your channel. You are a great speaker. I can learn from you. πŸ™‚

    2. @Learn With Seb wonderful! Sorry for assuming. πŸ™‚ I should know better. Thanks for your reply.

    3. Thanks Antony. I have some newer videos on the channel with the latest Canva features however there are more to come! I appreciate you for watching and for your feedback.

  27. What’s there not to like? They’re very helpful. Thank you. And just like the comment of @Karlene Brown, I was trying to check out the suggested action in the video if it would apply to a free account. It did. Thank you.

  28. *very soothing voice and also very good video but i already know these before u watched this. I think*

    *(bananas)*

    1. Good question. I’ve not made a picture for the community tab yet but that’s a good idea. I will try it and let you know.

  29. I like that your video is short and to the point, thank you! I will save this video and watch again when I get to my computer. Love it- will look for more of your videos.

  30. Tip 16 is one I’ve been looking for for a long time, never thought I’d find it on Canva! good work on this video

  31. Excellent very useful video Seb thank you for making it! I really enjoy your videos I just subscribed to your channel looking forward to more!!

  32. Amazing tips! I’m new to Canva and enjoying it so much. This will speed up my learning process. Thanks! Definitely subscribedπŸ‘πŸ»

  33. Hi There, I have signed up for Canva Pro but I don’t seem to have the Design School in the drop down list of options under Home as shown in your video, tip 14 – colour palette generator?

  34. WOW this was so helpful. Such simple features that can make the design stand out.
Thank you for making it Seb πŸ˜€

  35. WOW! I’ve had Canva for a while and don’t use it much because I’m so clumsy with it and it takes me forever to generate a graphic. This video blows my mind with the facility of use you demonstrate. It’s inspiring! Thank you!

    1. Thanks Dwayne. That’s great to hear! I appreciate your positive feedback. Comments like this inspire me to keep making videos. πŸ™‚

  36. Great video. Thanks!
two more questions: 1- can you create popup dialogue box in canva? 2- what video editing program did you use to create your tutorial?

    1. Hi Olivier. Thanks for your comment. 1 – I guess you can, not sure how you would make it interactive though. 2- Techsmith Camtasia – I’m working on a video tutorial for that soon.

  37. Incredible tips. Every single one is useful. I was pausing and flipping to Canva to make sure they were all available in the free version and they are! Awesome video! Thanks, Seb!

    1. Thanks for your question. Do you mean delete existing text and replace it? Or just cover it using a similar colour to the background? If so, I guess you can just add a new circle or rectangle element over the existing text and add new text over it?

    1. Ok thanks for your feedback. I have been working on improving my audio in newer videos. I appreciate you for watching.

  38. how do you fit the letters frames, I find that I use it its way two big. I have done shift etc, I just wonder what you were referencing to in your video. Thank you.

    1. Which part? You mean the picture in the letter frame? If so, I double click the picture then move it around within the letter frame. You can re-size it or reposition within the letter once selected. Hope that helps.

  39. Really great Canva tutorial, you can do so much so easily! I have been a little frustrated with how I am able to present my work online. All the effort I put into the design is wasted as I am only able to present separate pages online, which doesn’t look good for catalogues or brochures. I have found an integration with Canva that allows me to convert my design to a fully digital brochure. If anyone is interested check out https://simplebooklet.com/learn/animated-tri-folds.php

  40. Canva has been an absolutely user-friendly app to use. Am loving it! The video was very informative. Thank you so your great tips

    1. Yes you can! Although it’s not the best video editor out there. Canva is good for simple videos with only a few clips for social media. Will work on a Canva video tutorial soon.

    1. Hi Allison. That’s strange. I’ve not heard of that issue. Are you using Canva on the desktop app or browser?

    1. If you select the fingernail and the colour button appears in the top menu you should be able to change it from there.

    1. @Aline de Souza Hi Aline, yes, I realised that you need to reduce the transparency of the background to less than 100 BEFORE you change the color and it should work.

    2. @Learn With Seb ONe thing though. When selecting a color to adjust the background, the color takes over the whole background, rather than the picture adjusts to the selected color. Any workaround for that?

  41. Excellent video, Seb! One question: when I go to Canva Home, the “Design School” tab doesn’t appear. I pay for the Pro version. Is that tab only available with a different subscription? With thanks.

  42. Thank you so much! My first e-book will looks lot of better! Check my IG for the news about the book! It will be amazing!

    1. @Learn With Seb Rolling out soon from this long years just for this small little necessary feature? This is not done☹️

    2. I think they are rolling it out gradually all over the World. I still don’t have that feature yet in the UK. Hopefully they will roll it out to everyone soon.

  43. Thanks and many Blessings you are amazing and so peaceful with your voice ….enjoyed this lesson…superb !!! God bless you….

  44. I’m using a resume template on Canva. Under the “work experience” section, I want to add more subheadings and body text. How do I redistribute the alignment of boxes, so that they’re spaced evenly?

    1. Good question. I’m not sure if there is a way except to line them up manually. Perhaps using grids? Then adding the text inside them. Or just create lines where you want and add the boxes next to them, then delete the lines afterwards.

  45. i wanted to make a tutorial on this but then i thought let me see what other people has to offer. but defo good info.

    1. Thanks for watching. Your channel looks very useful. I watched some videos. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more videos.

  46. Thanks for your video, is there a way to keep a link in your post on Canva and download it with the link in tack?

  47. Canva is such an amazing tool. But sometimes when I download and try to upload on social media, it is blurry. Thanks for sharing your tips.

  48. why me elements not like yours? it’s just picture of someone. can u have a trick for my elements just like yours?

    1. Thank you for your feedback TheaBella. I will mark this audio track as annoying. I have used it in other videos since but will take your feedback on board for future reference.

  49. Hi Seb, this video is very helpful however, if I may suggest, to please increase the volume of your voice a little so that we can clearly hear what you are saying. other than that, your fine. kudos to you!

    1. Hi Prince Tangon. Thank you. Good feedback! I will work on improving the audio quality for future videos. I appreciate you for watching.

  50. Hi, I tried changing the background color but it doesn’t blend with the design it just change the background. By the way, great content!

    1. Thanks, I realised that you need to reduce the transparency of the background to less than 100 then change the color and it will work.

    1. @The Everything Life Hello if you are interested in getting a quality cartoon logo | gaming logo | cartoon photo | illustrations logo | text logo | business logo, ECT. you can contact me at this gmail address lucysmith3916@gmail.com
      Or on Discord @ PaytonArt#7215

    2. Hands down! I really do wish I had seen this before now, but I’m so excited to play around with these tips!

  51. Finally a fantastic video that explained something I didnt know! Amazing job! I wish I knew them when I started with Canva. Liked and subscribed πŸ’―

  52. Short and to the point – excellent Canva tutorial – thanks Seb πŸ™ŒπŸ½ Bro, could you please do more Canva tutorials?

  53. This was really helpful. I have been struggling so much with positioning I can’t believe that was an option. Thank you

  54. Great video, but would be very helpful if you added your own subtitles to this video so we know exactly what you’re saying! Hard to understand your accent, and the auto CC doesn’t understand you totally either. πŸ™‚

    1. Glad you liked it. Very good feedback. I will review the captions and update. I appreciate you watching despite my accent and wish you every success.

  55. Tip 9 doesn’t work for me – what sort of photo background were you using here? If I click on the color wheel to try to change the color, I just got a new background of the solid color I selected.

    1. Hi Jennifer, before you change the background color, make sure to set the transparency of the image lower than 100. I found this out later so was not mentioned in the video. Hope that helps.

  56. Thanks Seb.. i really apprciate and do like your tutorial.. Its really help a lot..
But, for the next content can you edit the VO a bit, to me it sound to much bass, maybe you can edit using any equalizer setting in sound editng software..
sorry about this.. nothing personal.. cheers n kudos for your content..

    1. @Learn With Seb So glad to hear that.. Looks like u are in the good direction.. Im just a simple sound design lecture at vocational college in Malaysia.. Just have a bit knowledge in this area.. Not so good as you think.. Im using Adobe Audition here, but i believe every software have almost the same future to edit audio, maybe just using a different term or function name.. Good Luck to you..

    2. Hi Ezar, thanks for your comment and glad you liked the tutorial. I appreciate the feedback about the sound. Very helpful point actually. I just started learning how to use Audacity and followed instructions online to set the treble, bass and normalization. Will try some new settings to make the sound clearer. You have a good ear. Do you have experience in this area?

    1. You’re welcome Faith. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave a postiive comment. All the best.

    1. Thank you for your kind kinds. I appreciate your positive comments. It gives me the motivation to keep making videos. I wish you every success.

    1. Wow, that’s great. Thank you for the sub Jennifer. I’m glad you found it helpful. I appreciate your support.

    1. Hi Tasha, thank you for your kind words. I appreciate your positive comments. It keeps me going. Good luck with all your projects. All the best.

  57. Hey, this video was simply brilliant!Exactly what I needed.I love the idea of dragging a photo into the letters but it simply doesn’t work for me the way it does for you. I can only drag it into individual letters so in the end I don’t have the full picture as you do.Can you help me with that? Thanks and keep these videos coming:)

    1. Hi k sz, thank you for your kind words. I appreciate the positive feedback. In terms of the letter frames, it sounds like you have it right. I also dragged the same photo separately into each letter. I then resized and repositioned the photo within EACH letter so only a portion of it is visible. You’ll need a large photo and position accordingly so it likes like its a single photo behind ALL the letters. If you see in my example in the video I dragged the photo all the way to the left for the left letter and then dragged the same photo all the way to the right for the last letter frame. Let me know if that makes sense and thanks again.

    1. Good question, depends on how often you use it and what you need it for. If you need it daily then it’s a small price. If you need more advanced features and finer tuning then other software would make sense. I also use Photopea – a free online photoshop alternative for some designs.

    1. @Learn With Seb Great! Thanks for sharing. I want to try it especially for making teaching materials. πŸ™‚

    2. Thanks. Glad you found it helpful. I use Techsmith Camtasia Screen Recorder and Editor. Very easy to use editor.

  58. hi Seb, thanks for this video. How can we group hidden objects with the closest object nears it? such as that title sample in your video? Now, after I’ve made shadow effect, i can only move it one by one πŸ™ Thanks!

    1. Hi Reza, if you shift + left click on all the objects you want this will highlight them. Then click group. If an item is hidden, ctrl +left click the hidden item then shift click all the items after that. Hope that helps.

    2. I work on I pad, I hold in one text, then select the next and it groups it together. You’ll see a box pop up that says group: 2 elements selected. It might be a double click on desk top

  59. One of the most handy vdo. Can you help me to transparent a part of the picture so that two pictures can me merged with each other

    1. Hi Slyvester. Thanks for your comment. If you have the pro version you can remove the background then merge it. If not you can upload your image to lunapic.com then click edit in the top menu and click transparent background. Then re-upload to Canva. Then merge. Hope that helps.

    1. @Aiman Sapardi (AS) Hi Aiman, thanks for your updated comment sharing your findings. I just tried it and you are correct. I did not know this, so I appreciate the knowledge and I’m sure others will too. Many thanks.

    2. Ok I found the soution guys. Before you guys change the background color, make sure to set the transparency of the image lower than 100.

    1. Yeah, it’s great they added this feature. Makes it easier to find free photos. Thanks for watching. I appreciate your time.

    1. @Learn With Seb in my interface doesn’t appear that button, I have to go to a new window and search it in the footer menu

  60. Hi we are now same subscribers
    πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

    1. Not quite all of them. The mobile version is slightly different. Perhaps I will do a video on the mobile app. Thanks for your question.

    1. You need to download the image from Canva. Upload to Lunapic.com. Click “Edit” in the top menu, select “Transparent Background” in the drop down. Remove background then RE-UPLOAD to Canva. Hope that helps.

  61. How to make text with black color? It always show like grey in saved image even I choose black color

  62. Thank you so much. I have been using canva for sometime but I didn’t know many of these tiny details. You just made my life easier

  63. I want to make some postings for FB and IG and wanted to include a clickable link, can this be done?

    1. Hi there, you cannot add clickable links to images in FB and IG. The link would need to be added separately to the post. You can’t easily add clickable links to Instagram posts, only the bio. You can add links to Canva images but these would need to be downloaded as a PDF for the links to work. Hope that makes sense.

  64. One tip for getting 300dpi that I am using now: I download Canva design in PNG format (with high resolution like 3000×3000 px or higher) , then I simply use GIMP (free software) and select the Image and change the dpi to 300….and downlaod it as a new PNG file ready for print.

  65. Seb, this is really great information and very helpful.. I subscribed and Liked your channel. I loved the last couple tips, especially with the Letter Frames. It will help me a lot with my T-Shirts Designs.. Question: Is there a way I can use the same thing but instead of Photos I can used the Gradients…??? So the Letters are filled with the Gradient Colors for Printing.. Let me know thank you so much..

    1. Hi Truth 4give, thank you kindly for your comment and for subscribing. Glad you liked the video and I appreciate your positive feedback. To answer your question – Yes, you can! However, you cannot use the gradient element. You have to add a gradient photo/picture to the letter frame. Just search the photo tab for a gradient and drag that into the letter frame. Unfortunately, as these are pictures they are fixed gradients. If you want to add your own you will have to create one and then upload the gradient as a picture into Canva. Hope that helps. Thanks. πŸ™‚
