You can start your cool T-shirt design for free using either Canva or Placeit or even Envato Elelements. Alternatively, if you prefer using a stand alone software you can download to your computer without eating up your wallet, then, my favorite is Art Text Design for Mac, though you may still use softwares like WordArt or simply check out Envato Marketplace for some cool and affordable products that may be used for the same purpose. You may also use free print-on-demand websites like Teepublic to sell items with your artwork designs printed on them and make some cool money from that.

Great vid, quick question? can I create a shirt design from scratch instead of editing someone else’s design.
yes, but not on placeit… there isn’t an online editor.
I actually signed up for placeIt yesterday and made a design to see how it works and yes it was really easy to customize text, colour and image and you can even upload your own image. Really helps designs look professional and takes away the blank canvas fear you can get when you open up a blank canvas in your design software! Loved the end of your video, very funny and a really cool effect! you have a new subscriber 👍 😄
@Shimmy Morris yes there is so much you can do here, I haven’t even scratched the surface yet! Initially going to use the design features for Redbubble and Amazon merch but I will probably use the mockups too as I am setting up an Etsy shop as well. 2021 is going to be a productive year! 🙂
woohoo! thanks for subscribing !! it really is an impressive website, I’ve found it super useful. I use it mainly for their mockups now.
I just had a design deleted by Redbubble that I made on Placeit. They said Volkswagen complained about the image which was a microbus with a peace sign where the hood ornament would be. I tried to find the image today and ot seems to have disappeared. I guess we have to be more careful with what images we use. I thought all of them would be checked for trademark issues.
that’s so weird, so did I! I guess placeit have been slacking with their trademark research!
Placeit is the best because of its license and content. Other websites offer great content but be weary of their licensing agreement and copyright issues.
my thoughts exactly!
Hilarious! Love watching your videos. You make learning fun and the content easy to understand. Plus you have an amazing personality. Thanks.
I appreciate that! thanks so much!
What if we get copyright strick on placeit.net?
contact them, that shouldn’t happen
Great content and advice. Thank you.
thanks! glad it was helpful
Hi Shimmy, Could you please tell me how is the print quality of tshirt designs from Placeit? I noticed the designs are just 72 dpi and very small file size less than 2 MB.. Have you ordered any sample prints of tshirt designs from Placeit? Please reply because i can’t find any info..my print provider are just so unprofessional they just say it is not good if size is less than 2 MB but Placeit says size doesn’t matter..
@Shimmy Morris have you ordered any samples with those designs?
It doesn’t matter. It can be amazing quality under 2mb. I have never had an issue with designs of 72 dpi.
Hey, don’t know if you’ll still read this, but I have a question. Recently I created a Teepublic account where I uploaded like three designs. Two made on place it (changed the texts and colors) and one from canva where I used a sticker and wrote some text. After like 10 minutes my shop was taken down due to copyright issues. I contacted them (been a week ago) and they haven’t replied since. Do you know why that happened? And what do you recommend? Thanks! And love your videos.
Thank you because I’m a graphic designer
Love your videos and the last part LOL
haha glad you like them! that last part took ages lol
You are so adorable! And informative! Thank you from a grandma from Georgia!
I love all your videos! I learnt a lot from you so I thank you for that! What are you working on right now?
@Shimmy Morris Sounds like a lot of work 😀 Good luck and take care
thank you! Currently, my Amazon FBA business, Youtube, my Amazon Course, affiliate marketing and trading
Impressive special effects won me over. Great information too. You convinced me, I’ve not wanted to pay the money for PlaceIt but now I am. Thanks
awesome! glad I could help. I knew those extra hours editing for special effects would be worth it 😀 😀
thumbs up bro,i do understand how much agony is involved in editing lol,..thanks for the info!
thanks!!! yup. tell me about it lol
Again .. hilariously helpful
so glad you liked it!!
omg damn, I liked the video for editing before you asked as it was fun and cool, great job, have a great day
I have a question.
I understand that all designs from Placeit.net are allowed for commercial use.
But I wonder if the tshirt design created using Placeit.net is still copyright free when there are other almost same designs that were created using the same Placeit.net template.
If 50 tshirt sellers created almost same design using same template and they uploaded to Teespring, will Teespring reject 49 tshirts and only accept one that was uploaded first? or all 50 tshirts will be accepted although they are almost same designs because the design itself is copyright free?
Please give me some advice, Thank you.
@Shimmy Morris Thank you for fast answer.
I would recommend tweaking it slightly to make it personal to you, that way you don’t have to be worried about others having the same design
yup that was awesome ending thumbs up.
Your mic quality is terribly annoying. My ears always start pain
@Shimmy Morris now i would like to request you to make a detailed video about selecting micro niches with low competition and good search results.
cheers, maybe update your speakers, i’ve tested the mic now on multiple devices and survey quite a few people. i would say upgrade the computer or speakers 😀 glad you like my stuff
@Shimmy Morris haha good thing is i like your knowledge collected and compiled for free. Keep it up man. Especially create a series of how to select micro niches for POD
@Copy Right Free Zone so don’t watch my videos then… there’s no gun to your head mate
@Shimmy Morris i hope this problem is only with me. I swear i cant bear your voice more than 3min.
How do u not have more subs?
No idea… It ain’t easy! Thanks tho
Had to sub!
Woohoo! Thanks
Shimmy thank you thank you great video just what i was wondering also about the copyright but your right just change around the elements colors and text and thats the copyright issue gone , one question which software did you use for your making two of you in the same video that was awesome would like to use that software ,ok cheers i have downloaded all your vids lol cant wait till your next video .
Thanks! Glad your liking my videos. I use premiere pro to edit them
Amazing videos – Thanks Shimmy! A few quick questions if you have time – When you customise those designs on Placeit (which I’ve also been using) Are you adding words often to your designs? Or will the customised logos / designs be fine to upload to Redbubble / Teespring etc? And is it still always best to follow a narrow niche with a relevant store front / similar designs or can you get away with basically random different ‘good’ designs on Redbubble / Teespring? Thanks, hope that makes sense!
It totally depends on the targeting I am doing for that tshirt. Each design is different.
nice video broooo thanks……. 😂😂😂😂🤜
you’re welcome!
ah ah the end with Double Shimmy is good!!!
haha thanks! It took me ages
PlaceIt is actually worth every penny! It’s helped me soooo much. Shimmy can you do Canva? (sorry if you’ve already done a video for it)
@Shimmy Morris much appreciated
I can of course. I have done a basic video of it but nothing in-depth. Placeit really is awesome!
Awesome video!
Thanks so much
Ha! I liked the video before the ending gag. Now I love it! Plus, I’ve been watching your videos out of order and I didn’t know about Placeit. I’ll start my account today! Thanks for the solid advice.
haha glad you liked it!! Place it is really really awesome!
I love placeit! I rarely use their designs without changing the center and always put my own words.
awesome! it really is an amazing tool
Place it is an awesome tool
totally agree!
I caught myself calling you my friend in my mind! lol
lol 😂😂
I fall in love with your videos 😍🥰

I have just paid 20$ to advertise my T shirt … and I sold nothing… But I’ll not say : I lost my money … what I ‘ll say : I have just bought an experience .
@Ryan on Instagram memes page
Where did you advertise ?
nice! i like that mentality
That was funny 😆
glad you liked it!
Hello Morris, I have doubt that can I create my own t-shirt brand name with creating new design.
chandan kumar haha! Fear not A monkey could design with placeit.
why… Don’t doubt yourself
Hi shimmy, thank you for such good informative content. How can make you see my store in teespring
Here it is
Your welcome! I’m glad you liked it. You wanted someone to review your store?
Hahaha so cool
Glad you liked!
Is there anyway one can find out what shirt designs sell? Sort of reverse engineer the process. Instead of making a tonne of designs and hoping it sells? Thanks. Great vid!
Shimmy Morris thanks Shimmy👋😀
Kind of. I’m releasing a video next sunday about a free tool to find popular niches. That should get you going in the right direction
Thank for sharing this it super helpful
hey, i am already click your canva link. now where is my video tutorial using canva?
I didn’t know people wanted one. It’s in the works.
Hey Shimmy – this was awesome thanks for the great ideas mate – watching you create is poetry in motion!! F-ing Brilliant – keep the content coming – you have the best channel for teaching us how to set up new software & POD ideas. Amazing!! cheers buddy.
Thanks so much! Glad your enjoying all the content!
Great video! I was actually asking my self this question yesterday and you just resolved it. I am very excited to start my own teespring t-shirt sales. Do you think that the worldwide events going on right now will still allow us to make sells and become succesfull with the print on demand hustle?
Ah that’s awesome!! So happy I answered your question. Yes I think you should still be able to get sales during this time.
Shimmy bruv! 😂 Is it possible with your busy schedule to add high quality straight to the point informational content to your Facebook ads marketing and affiliate marketing playlists. And I hope to see this channel reach 100k 🎊 and even more dude keep up the good work 🤜🤛.
yes mate!! I have plans for those videos, Just waiting for the perfect time to make them and post them.
Hi Shimmy , you mentioned you have an Amazon course. Could you please place a link to it? Thanks !
@Ms. X oh you’re right. I must have copied it wrong. Heres the right one: https://bit.ly/azonu-youtube-special
Shimmy Morris , thanks, is this a valid URL? I get an error message for some reason
Sure thing. Here it is: https://bit.ly/azonu-youtube-tspecial
hahahahahahahhahahaha
😂😂
how do i test my print on demand store to see if my designs are succesful and ads
@Shimmy Morris good reply, where should I place my designs to get organic sales?
You could either run ads or just wait, over time you should get sales if the designs are good.
I bought a monthly subscription just to try it out. It is far better than I expected and has a lot of features I haven’t even looked at yet. I thought it would be a bit clunky and irritating but it really is excellent.
I use it for mockups to use in graphics for Pinterest, Instagram etc. and will have a bash at video mockups when I get round to it.
I write software in my day job and am always way too critical of other software but even I was impressed with PlaceIt.
(No, I don’t work for the company!)
haha, me neither! but it really is an incredible tool for sure! Glad you think so too.
Do you have experience with carousel ads on Facebook as opposed to regular single image ads?
Thanks!
Yes, They tend to be expensive, so prepare your wallet. They can be good for brand awareness for sure.
Tha one dislike 🤬
There’s always a few… I just tell my self they slipped when trying to give it a like. haha
Haha the double you haha
It took me ages! haaha
Place it gives 72pixel per inch designs for download but to get design printed on tshirt design must be 300 pixel per inch right. So how to tackle this..
I haven’t had any problem creating designing, downloading and uploading. the quality has been perfect. I’m not just saying this either. don’t focus on the PPI…
Last action is so surprised me😄😄
Love from India
Haha glad it looked good
it sure is an amazing tool to use!!
@Shimmy Morris I love the simplicity of the website, how easy it is to create a design there is so many to choose from. I think paying for this tool is a must. I do sometime go with Fiver if i really want a specific design beside that so happy with PLaceIt
Totally!! What do you like about it most?
Thank you. I liked end of the video 😂😂
Haha thanks!!
hi shimmy great work
Thank you!
You are always genuine and unbiased in my humble opinion. The end of the video was keeping it real. Can the designs be used to be placed onto a book cover? For instance KDP or eBooks? Hit the like button and SMASH the subscribe button.
lady can i ask you plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ( that link placeit i can use it to my account redbubble without copiright ?? ) if you can change the clor or the title or same thing
Yup!!! They 100% can!
I have used Placeit for mock-ups and tshirt designs!
@Shimmy Morris absolutely!
It’s awesome no??
Keep going bro ty for this video I 😍 love to see your video and also tell some sources of free traffic to generate aur sales faster. If soo I will be happy to seee it……… 👍👍😍😍
