  1. So get that you have to have a design, but like how do you get it printed, who do you send it to, what does it cost?

  2. Hello there. Im shared your video to my students for Visual Arts class. Nice video and nice content btw 😉

  3. I wish I was that talented😂I like really graphic t-shirts but its kinda hard to find something that I really like. I always wish I could make mine the way I want but I don’t know how to draw😂😂😂😂

  4. I’m pretty confusing. But I was wondering Adode Illustrating can coloring on my artwork ( Scanning to my artwork to AI)??? Or Only can PS coloring on my artwork, right? I need help. By the way, I like your artwork. Talent!

  5. Why did you divide your image into 3rds ?? Was it to get rid of the shadows? How does that work? You just put them right back in the same place… sorry I have never used photo shop… maybe I need to take a class…….🙄

  6. Hey so I have a question I hope you don’t mind answering. I’m trying to start a POD T-shirt shop and the problem that I have is I’m not sure how to make certain that the colour and the clarity of the image is exactly as it should be. Of course I could order a bunch of them but then if it’s not right Ill end up wasting a lot of resource. Do you have any tips on that, especially with digital printing? Thank heaps!

  8. What company do you use to do the printing?
Im trying to start out with some designs but want to sell through my own store

  9. To separate lineart from a scanned piece you can also make it a multiply layer and set it as a reference. Bing bang boom. That’s at least the simplest on Procreate

  10. Hi guys. Can someone help me? I just want to start business this pandemic but i don’t have enough money to hire a graphic designer . Sad i can’t even express my feelings . I hope someone help me . Thank you guys . Even you help me thank you if not still thank you 🙏❤️

  11. My dude love your content so much, discovered it this month whilst in inktober despair 😅
when are you gonna drop your own skillshare class then??

  12. So I’ve been wanting to put a design of my own on a shirt. The program I use to draw is Ms paint and I use a canvas of 1080 1920. Would the lines come out as jagged if I got it on a shirt or mug?

  13. I have a camera and I never thought I can actually take a pic of my sketch and just edit it on my laptop lol. Thanks for that. How do you actually print them on T shirts? Where do you get plain Ts and Hoodies?

  14. do you take recommendations for example if I sent you a picture of something that I would like on a shirt to purchase would you be able to do that

  15. Excellent work! I’m from Kenya and very much inspired by your art. Which printing method are your t-shirts printed with? Screen Printing, Direct to Garment(DTG) or Print & Cut Heat Transfer Vinyl?

  16. badass content dude. just want to ask one thing, what’s the difference between using photoshop and illustrator for your design.

  17. Ten hundred, como você faz suas estampas na camisa são serigrafia, me algumas dicas, curto muito seu canal. Abraços vc é uma inspiração. Aguardo sua resposta

  18. Yo champ! you just became my new roll model. This is exactly what i want to do but just don’t have the drive for it. But this just put me on a new path to success. Thank you very much for sharing with me!

  19. bbbBRuh you talk so fast. this here is a phenomenal lesson though. and to me you’re a great teacher. thank you for walking us through youre art process as a whole. i used to watch my friends design things in adobe a few years back when i was in school and always thought that shit was the coolest. hit a blotchy patch in my life and ended up pawning and selling a lot of my tech like mac books & cameras and stuff. this video was another powerful reminder of what great tools lie in wait out there for us with a some guidance and motivation. thank you for this video. you’ve shared just the basics of what it takes to transfer an analog art into a digital medium (and then phonk it). Your ways were palatable, creative, and direct. again, thank you!! defffinitely joining the notification gang.

  20. I was wondering if you could help how to get the best color saturation for DTG printing? Are png files with cmyk profile on procreate good enough?

  21. The process that converted your drawing into a transparent outline (subtract white background), can that be done on PS Elements?

  22. That 🔥🔥🔥… I need T Shirts… thank you for show me How to start making T shirt .. I didn’t known where to go to make graphic design to put on T shirts …

  23. hi dude., i was just drop by and amaze how you do that., I’m just starting my own printing shop..
and just wondering how to make an awesome design and i saw youre video.
and i admire you for that., by the way I’m studying on my own by watching video in youtube on how to use photoshop.
    any way., really nice.

  24. Hey how are you? I watched your video and your drawing skills are frick’n awesome. So with that being said would you be interested in designing my logo? Please hit me back. end1107@hotmail.com

  25. i wish he showed us the printing process, finding a way to print them out at a profit for those who already have the art step down

  32. Hey you’ve inspired me to start making skateboards and paint them! I wanna give you a shout out after I Dj a set and represent a skateboard making company as well!

  33. Great vid 👌🏽very informative . I’m new to the digital age just got procreate yesterday . I was under the impression that I had to vectorize my drawings before I could get prints or t shirts done ?

  34. Hey.. you could also save yourself a bunch of straightening time by using a tripod when you take the photo 🙂 Great video and pretty dope art!

  35. If I lived in Seattle, I would definitely have bought a lot of tshirts from your store!! Specially hoodies! they are really cool!

  36. everything you’re doing in photoshop is the more difficult way of doing it haha. use shortcuts, man. Save that work time.

  37. Cool design! What tools did you use to create the splatter / dispersing effect at the bottom of the character?

  38. I want a shirt that shows all the western democracies all teaming up as friends to attack Winnie the Pooh wearing a Chinese flag as a shirt, with a nuclear bomb mushroom cloud in the background and a few small Nyan rainbow cats flying away from the blast in the sky; and as Winnie the pooh runs from them is a hentai big boob hot anime girl wearing the old Japanese flag of the rising sun with a face mask on holding her hand out as if to be motioning to stop. Please do it. Actually they can be country humans but not china it must be Winnie the Pooh wearing a ccp shirt. Oh and the hentai girl should be full human no country ball heads for her or winnie the pooh. If you put a sun in the sky make it the one from Super Mario Bros 3 that chases you in the game, in fact you can add a few mario bros 3 thing as you see fit. If words can go on it “Make Mushroom Kingdom Great Again.”

  39. Hello,
Great art! I have a question;)
If im sending my art to print, is it not nessesary to have them in vector file?
    Thank you

  40. photoshop won’t seem to let me drop in a white background after I’ve inverted and filled the lines. Any ideas anyone?

  41. I highly recommend Fire Alpaca it’s free and simple to use for beginners while also being capable of creating complex art

  42. Usually I think modern day artists are simply mugging people off with their shitty scribbles and then tell their victims that it expresses a load of bullshit to lure them into buying crap that they just drew but your art work is actually amazing and the type of art I would love to put on my clothes.

  43. How do you do the design for size on the shirt what is the Number for covering the whole shirt with your design

  44. Your work is awesome and inspiring! I have t-shirt designs that I want get printed and sell . This tutorial is very informative. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!

  45. thank you sm for making all these videos about the business of art. seems like some kind of secret when I try to look up tips to become a better artist from a business pov but you’re really helping me out

  46. Hi Ten, would you PLEASE advise me on these for me crucial questions:
    1. Which software should I use for T-shirt design: Adobe Illustration CC or Adobe Photoshop CC?
    2. Can I also use Autodesk Sketchbook Pro 8? Most of my designs (drawings) are vector.
    3. Should my designs (because of printing) be in CMYK?
    Thank You!

  47. What kind of file are you giving the shirt company? .PSD? and they just bring it into illustrator to print separations?

Terimakasih

  50. Hey. Can’t really tell in this video, but do you use a certain eraser to help reduce the marker ink removal when erasing? Or do you go over all the lines again with a black marker to make it a rich, black color again?

  51. Great video but I need to “correct” something. Changing the DPI won’t have any affect on the size or quality of this image. The way you did it, the pixels remain the same, but the DPI and inches change. So if you send this as a JPG to the printer it would look exactly the same, assuming they print both versions in the same size and DPI, because the amount of pixels never changed so the information in the image would be the same. An easy way to test this is to save both versions and you’ll see the file size is identical.

And another tip is to use adjustment layers and layer masks when changing levels and stuff. You “never” want to change the actual layer, and you don’t want to create copies of the layer to adjust the bottom portion. Just use a layer mask in an adjustment layer for that, a non-destructive way.

  52. Which Pencils do you use for sketching? I always find mine hard to erase even when I use softer ones. Great work, as always.

  53. Any advice on how you built your website or what you used to start off selling online? Your work is hella dope, I just started working on mine.

  54. Cool STuff ^_^ The only thing I would of mentioned is the “Black” text, to be blended in with the shadow of her arm 😛

  55. I could never learn all this in college man! People like you are awesome and keep doin’ what you do! Love and support!!

  56. What type of computer do you primarily use for this process? Also, who do you use to actually print your merchandise? Awesome work man! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻👊🏻🤘🏻

  57. Sir.. do you have any referrence creating that artwork? or jus full an imagination? What you do or think so you come up that good imagination?

  58. This video was dope!! I learned so much in 5 minutes than I did with other videos. You gotta apply for a teacher positions at an art school or something?? Great video and great way of teaching! Thanks a bunch!

  59. I stumbled across this video because I am interested in screen printing and have worked in the textile biz for a few decades. I have since watched a dozen or so of your vlogs. I have been in an art rut for years, and your dedication, motivation, passion, talent, style, creativity, and positive outlook on art is truly inspiring. I’m a fan. I look forward to seeing what you are up and soak up some of this great information. Thank you so much for sharing 🙂

  60. You seem to work very long and hard on PS I do all you did in just a few steps in PS without wasting time in Lightroom, You have so many commands for this job in photoshop

  61. This was such a helpful video! I’ve been thinking about starting a small clothing brand to rake in a little cash and this answered almost all of the questions I had. The only other question I had was whether or not it is financially a good idea to send the designs to a screen printing company when I first start making shirts, or if I should just start screen printing my own. I’d love to hear back from you and get some ideas on how I should go about starting this venture.

  62. “cmd + shift + v” pastes in the location where it was copied from onto a new layer. Just a cute lil tip. Great video 👍

  63. You said we should limit the colors to about 6, but you used a gradient on some parts of the design. A gradient has in theory a lot of inbetween colors. What will happen to those gradients on the final print?

  64. What do you use for printing your art? Do you have your own printing press for shirts, or do you use a certain website?

  65. You are very talented. I don’t have a need for this right now, however, I really enjoyed your video. I shared this with my granddaughter who likes to draw and she enjoyed it as well.

  66. Hello greetings here from Brazil sao paulo, my name is Valmir lemes and I am illustrator and graphic design, I loved your channel, already subscribed and gave my like!

Your drawings they are beautiful, beautiful works! 😍😍👍✍👁

  67. Very helpful video! I am an artist myself and I have done a tshirt design and I can totally understand when you talk about the more colors you use the more expensive it becomes to print. That happened in my case as well and I’m like you when it comes to color, I love using color and it’s definitely a challenge restricting yourself to a small palette of colors. That brings up a question though, when you use dodge and burn to shade and highlight, does that count as another color (or two)? I didn’t use dodge or burn on my tshirt design so I’m just curious if that counts within your color palette or if they count it as separate colors?

  68. jooooow daaaang i like your work and style of art man, i haven’t started designing and printing yet man, am stil learning, and am happy that i came across your channel, your art/designes inspire me to creat creative characters that are fun and so haha, merci

  69. Holy smokes you are talented! Are you self taught in photoshop or did you take classes? How long did it take you to have a decent mastery?

    1. Hello if you are interested in getting a quality cartoon logo | gaming logo | cartoon photo | illustrations logo | text logo | business logo, ECT. you can contact me through this gmail address lucysmith3916@gmail.com
      Or on Discord @ PaytonArt#7215

  70. Dude you’re Fucking Wild! I’m a T-shirt artist myself and I’ve never seen anything like this!! I will absolutely buy one of your shirts and I just subscribed. Stoked to see your next masterpiece!

  71. From a screen printer:
The main reason screen printing limits the number of colors you can use is because screen printing doesn’t work like your typical ink jet printer. Each color in the artwork requires a screen, which is essentially a stencil. So if your art uses six colors, the job will require six stencils (or screens). The other limiting factor is the maximum number of print heads on the press. They come in 1, 4, 6, 8, 10, & 12 head configurations. Each color in your design is applied one at a time.

  72. Looks awesome!! One question.. you have to pay per colour right? And I can see the moon in the background has a gradient between 2 colours. Digitally this is represented as many intermediate colours right, so when you screen print how does this work? Do they know that they need to do a gradient between 2 colours and then it just counts as 2 colours or is this actually a bunch of colours?

  73. Easier way to fix a drawing on an angle is use your ruler tool…. draw a line across the edge of your paper corner to corner… then just go to image >rotate>rotate arbitrary…. no need for the pink rectangle

  74. Do you personally print this on shirts? If yes, please do a tutorial on screen printing. We would love to see the whole process.

  75. I got a question. When we design a print, we don’t need to make it vector in illustrator?

    1. is up to you, you can choose between vector or bitmap but bitmap is different you must have big dpi for print on it or it would be blur when you have small dpi

  76. You are extremely talented.  I am always discouraged by other artists sometimes but then everyone has their own special and unique ability and way of drawing.  Some are better than others.  So I hope my passion for doing this will succeed.

  77. Thank you so much for the link to Skillshare.  Do you trademark, copyright or patent your material and/or name?  Have you become an LLC?

  78. Can the printer print a design out on shirt if you have colored everything realistically and blended and not plain colored? 🙁

  79. The most impressive thing in this video is that you confidently named and saved the file. This can’t be the only, “the archer” on your computer 🤣

  80. Dope designs! When you send off graphics to the printing company, do you give them just the mock-up of the shirts or just the graphics alone? Will they also supply their own clothing or will l have to buy a bundle to give them? Sorry for all the questions, l’m very new to the printing aspect of it all and wanna start selling my graphic arts on clothing! I really love your style and channel!

  81. I know this video is a bit old by now so you may know this already, but if you use the crop tool in Photoshop and hold ctrl while you click and drag, you can drag out a line along the angle of the top of your paper and the tool will automatically straighten your image for you. Figuring that out was a huge time-saver for me. Nice Work!

  82. Tip: Don’t use cheap thin T-shirts to put amazing designs on. Buy quality materials and your customers will love you.

    1. @Emeka A. I used to buy a lot from distributor from Kayo Corp brands but they are all branded.

      The Hundreds
      101 Apparel
      DGK
      Carhartt

  83. Dude, thanks a lot for this video, there is a lot you don’t learn in design school, and videos like this are great help!

  84. Your artworks are amazing my man! I’m just starting my own T-shirt company and you have really inspired me, keep up the good work!

  85. If I’m printing on a black shirt, can I still leave the black background on my image, or do I have to make it transparent?

    1. Im no experts but i believe you can. Although, merch in general is good to be in various range so making the background transparent gonna give u access to unlimited supplies of colored merch!

  86. Oof- I was like this isn’t too bad plus I can do this on my iPad which is the only method of digital drawing I have access to, and during the fast-forwarded bit I was like lmaooo yeah nvm I’m screwed. But awesome video, I really learned a lot!

  87. This doesn’t seem so complicated. Maybe because I’ve used something similar to photoshop on my phone. The whole coming up with your own design is super hard to me

  88. Ok but how do you put it into the fabric? Where do you send it? Which printing method is better? How much does it usually cost?

  89. I find it odd that you go through this huge artistic process and have great lighting equipment to photograph the art, but don’t use a tripod. Is there a reason why you don’t?

    1. With a high shutter speed, that barely matters. And he has very bright studio lighting so he’s probably able to keep the speed pretty high. The image is going through so much processing in Lightroom and photoshop it’s not really going to matter anyway as long as there isn’t any blur.

  90. beautiful , creative , rare your t-shirts should be international brand … actually better than some expensive international brand

  91. Muy colorido y fresco el diseño o el dibujo y todo el proceso yo apenas empiezo en esto de los diseños para camisetas también y estos tutoriales son de mucho apoyo donde se pueden conseguir estas camisetas?

  92. Great video thanks for Sharing thisCan you please do video the best setup
From PC to the printer please
And pricelist i’m just starting out

  93. I JUST found this YouTube and I’m diggin’ the vibe. I love seeing other artists process vids, thank you for sharing!

I have a tip on the sketching process: Draw it out, scan it, and change the pencil lines to a non-photo blue. Print it out with the blue line work on heavier paper. THEN ink it on that blue ink print out. I agree that a direct hand-drawn piece looks much more alive. Once you dig that ink look, scan it again and drop out that blue in Photoshop.

I know that final resellable artwork is a great addition to your flow, but should you get the need for a switch up this is a great option. This way enables you to play with your final inked look w/o sacrificing the final piece.

    1. Franswahz Art There’s no room for the hate speech you’re touting. In case you haven’t noticed. I’ve reported your hate speech to the official YouTube mediators. Your YouTube account will be taken down within a few days and you will have to write an appeal to get it back. Have a nice day!

    1. Ten Hundred trust me I made it to the end but maybe I didn’t catch it! I’m so inspired by your art! I wish I had your style but I’m starting to create my own! And I sure will thanks!

    2. I mention at the end of this video that I print with Jakprints… but that’s chill it is a long video and I understand if you didnt make it to the end. There are a lot of elements that go into having a successful t shirt business… but for me it all starts with the art. If you decide to work with Jakprints tell them I sent you

  94. What if I suck at drawing but have great ideas that I can never get out right, am I screwed for making my own brand?

  95. Hi we wanna see How you gonna apply in printing is it silk screen or heat press? Please Show us the processing thanks

  96. I’ve been LOOKING for an artist to just make a quick tutorial on how to create a t-shirt friendly design with art, and this super helps! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your process!

  97. Is it ok to contact you? I’m an artist as well. I got my scanner and laptop and I’m so motivated to make merch with my tools and resources. Im a real life starving artist and trying to make a difference in my life as soon as i can.

  98. meh, I thought there would be more tipps on how to create something that especially looks good on a shirt, you know – more insight of the creating the motive instead of … coloring and correcting a photo you make of your art……… :/

  99. Hi , here a Chilean friend who writes from Germany. tremendous your work, I love it. I have a question, where do you print your t-shirts? What is the name of the company?

  100. really bad tutorial ,firts you dont photograph the art work you have scaned, 2 none good tshirt designer use photoshop you have to use illustrator to get a nice and clean job.. you have really bad habits but good pencil skills

  101. my son is starting art… well both my daughter and son are pretty awesome and we’re trying to push them into graphic art etc. just recently my son sold 2 paintings to the tucson observatory. anyway, long story short… they want to put their art work on tshirts but we asked ppl and some just dnt share or over price their services. but im thinking of giving ur idea a try. if u can help, plz give us some ideas. thanks. 😊💗

  102. Holy wow guy! You crammed a lot of info in to that 17 minutes and managed to make it followable. Thank You

    1. @6 9 tried that didn’t work . Peeps want it for lower than the production price … But they’re sure as hell ready to throw cash at some cheap material unoriginal branded over priced trash from the local sports wear store .

  103. 想问一下你们老外,是不是现在在你们国家,加一些别人看不太懂得中文是不是也是很装逼,很酷的事情,中间用翻译软件找中文那段太逗了

  104. Came across your video on my YouTube feed. Nice work Ten Hun- got yourself a new subscriber. I like your style 😎👌🏽

  105. I am inspired of your work.. youre one of my idol.
Can show us how you print your design on your shirt? Thank you

  106. I got a problem on making the 2nd layer of background become white after the fill of the black line.

I saw your YouTube tutorial, the black line stopped moving after fill ( shift + f5 ) but mine are still moving. Is there anything I need to pay attention to?

  107. Is there still a community website where you can see desings of other artists?

There where a few back in the day but i cant remember it👴

  108. Just a tip: You can use the ruler in lightroom to draw a line along the top of the paper and it makes the photo straight
