Alternatively, if you prefer using a stand alone software you can download to your computer without eating up your wallet, then, my favorite is Art Text Design for Mac, though you may still use softwares like WordArt or simply check out Envato Marketplace for some cool and affordable products that may be used for the same purpose. You may also use free print-on-demand websites like Teepublic to sell items with your artwork designs printed on them and make some cool money from that.

    1. I just wanted to show my appreciation because you are the number one out of three that really shows how to really start a work from home business.

  1. Hi Greg! I would love to know if your teaching can apply for coffee mugs/tea cups? I feel excited about cups design. Do you think coffe/tea cups sell as t-shirt design would?

    1. Yes it’s free 🙂 The $10 you are referring to is the cost of the shirt to be made when someone buys one. Lucky for us, the customer pays for it entirely and then we get the profit above the $10.

  2. Kwfinder asks us to start a 10 day free trial. After that they will start charging? That’s not for free.
    I use Google Trends.

    1. @Greg Gottfried Thank you very much, Greg, for all the information and kind videos. Continue your good work 🙂

    2. Thanks for asking! KWFinder still offers 10 day free trials with each email address you use, however they have been making it difficult to do that with their popups… It’s not as easy as it was before but you can navigate back to KWFinder manually after the pop redirects you (and that typically works). With that said, you can either keep using emails for free 10 days, or you can use Google Keyword Planner as free forever option (or Google Trends like you do, that’s great too). I currently use Merch Informer, it’s the best option in my opinion. Here’s a video I made on it, hope it helps! https://youtu.be/2JI9VCIhPNI Also here’s a more detailed comparison of how the 2 are different (there are a couple big differences to be aware of) https://youtu.be/K4aLqnxUS5A

  3. When you save or send the image to your self it always adds a white background. Do you know a way to get around that? When you put it on a shirt it shows the white box and all

    1. @Greg Gottfried I’ll try that as well thanks . and I have seen it’s a problem with the iPhone. Something after iOS 13 it’s been doing it. I tried a different app that typorama and got the same thing.

    2. This usually happens on some email providers. I recommend trying a different email provider, or a different way to send the file. I hope that helps!

  4. Hi. Please help me out. I just listed my products.. 6 in total, but it doesn’t show any of them in my ‘Listings’. After uploading, the page stated that all product images had been published and saved, but nothing shows on my dashboard. Should I wait for sometime?

  5. 7:20 Did you link the video?
I’ve been on Teespring for under a week now. All I publish are my own ideas but I’ve already twice been notified that “there might be” some trouble. Those listing have been taken down.
I don’t know if it’s because of the titles I gave to my listings or what. Hard to keep on with those long automated legal-sounding emails when you’re not fluent in English. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

  6. I’m just starting out and the level of information involved is intense! However I really enjoy your content so it’s not like learning & it flows nicely!

    1. Hi Colin! Welcome to the channel 🙂 At first it’s a little intense, but keep at it and you’ll do great!

    1. Hey Bob, Yes you are exactly right (and $29 is way too much!). KWFinder still offers 10 day free trials with each email address you use, however they have been making it difficult to do that with their popups… It’s not as easy as it was before but you can navigate back to KWFinder manually after the pop redirects you (and that typically works). 7. Why we need placeit if Typorama exist? I know because illustration but are illustration more profitable than only text?

  8. If you have a design that works best on colored shirts and you want add the same design in white on a black shirt, the best option is to duplicate the listing and add the white design on all the black apparel, but this listing will be displayed apart in your store or is there a way around to implement this into the existing listing?

  9. Sir. while uploading/editing designs I am getting the following error.
“your request timed out. try again.” Why and how to fix it. Pls reply.

  10. Hey Greg,
I can’t seem to find your Teespring course on Udemy. Can you please send me the link in the comment box 🙂 Thx

  11. Aside from providing so much valuable information for FREE, you’re literally an inspiration. I want to be like you and pass on what I have to share to the world in hopes to help people too! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for genuinely helping people stand on their own feet. Much love and good vibes to you and everyone else!

    1. Wow, this just made me smile 🙂 Thank you so much for your support Steph! Best of luck in all your endeavors 😁

  12. How do you take off the typorama logo? All of my designs have a “made with typorama” logo on the bottom.

  13. the kwfinder website is not free, its only free for 10 days. I can not search anything if I don’t create an account. I’m not sure what I’m doing yet so I didn’t want to waste my free 10 days. But its NOT free as you said it was that’s frustrating but I appreciate your information, thank you very much.

    1. @Greg Gottfried 🙌 thank you tremendously for responding. I’m amazed you found the time. It seems never enough time in the day. But that’s just me. I need to STOP THAT mind frame. It’s cursing myself creating not enough time…anyways GREATLY GREATLY appreciate your advice and guidance. 🙌💯❤

  14. hello GREY GOTTFRIED, i gat a question.. is it a good idea to list different niche designs in one store? like the mountain climb designs and yoga altogether in a store.

  15. really love this video but will need a second run through….how do i get my designs paid for, when sold…?

    1. Happy to help! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions at all! Thank you for your nice comment 🙂

  16. Why is it when I create a shirt on Teespring the words on the shirt look perfectly centered and aligned but once I list it’s way off? I’m just adding words…

  17. Hi and thanks for video just am wondering if we can use keywords research on teespring like merch or just we optimize our listing for google search

  18. Thanks so much, Greg! Glad I found your videos. I learned a lot and can’t wait to create my own designs and sell them on Teespring and other platforms.

    1. That’s awesome Beth- you got this! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions along your way! I wish you nothing but success👍🏼👍🏼

  19. Thanks for all the useful info. I’ve finally started to get sales. I was just about to start doing van life designs 😂 I actually have a converted van so it made sense. Do you think it’s still worth doing now that you’ve mentioned it?

    1. Right on! Even with it being mentioned in the video, I would still definitely go into it. Worst case is it doesn’t get many sales, but without going into it you miss it entirely. If you have you’re trust score already from your first few sales, then you dont have to even worry about making a storefront or doing Instagram. Just creating as many great designs as you can and uploading them to all 3 sites will do the trick! Also, a good piece of advise I can offer is to think about your experiences in your van of seeing other people, and thinking of what shirt designs they would actually wear 😉 I hope that helps and I hope you do well in the niche!

    1. Nothing 🙂 That’s why we need to focus on creating a lot of great designs, rather than spending a ton of time on only a couple amazing designs.

  20. Hey Greg, what about Shopify for print on demand…I see Gurus out there promoting Shopify and not teespring ,redbubble or merch by amazon,,,any insight. thanks

  21. Created my first store listing and it was immediately suspended by Teespring after it stood 2 minutes online WTF ?!

    1. @Greg Gottfried Thanks. I will do, I’m already sure its not the illustration 😉 so it has to be title, description or the text of the design!

    2. Hmm… It sounds like it was taken down by the automated filter. There must have been something copyrighted in the design, title, or description. Shoot a quick email to ipescalations@teespring.com and they can see if it was an error on their end.

  22. Hi Greg would you happen to know why mine is not transparent in background? Mine comes out with a white background

    1. @Greg Gottfried okay thank u I think it has to do with updates because my iOS phone did get the clear background
      Thank u!😃

    2. Thanks for asking! I’ve seen this before and it was caused by sending the images to the computer via certain email providers. They seemed to be converting them to white backgrounds. I’d look there first 🙂

  23. Hey Greg I am on KWfinder and Mangools ad keeps popping up after the first keyword I tried to search for? Does that mean that this is not free anymore? How can I bypass this or is there any other actually free keyword search site?

  24. Hi, great video.. Only one question. How can you find out if the quote on t-shirt you are going to choose.. doesn’t actually exist? I’m scared that i’m going to use a nice quote and i’ll get a knock at the door saying “Hey you have stole my quote” Thanks

  25. Thank you again. You give clear and detailed tutorials. I just offer to share profits with anyone who will help me before i saw your video. I havent subscribe to you for a year yet. I missed this.

  26. I just wanna know how do you get the money. Do you have to open an account ? Am a newbie here. Would really appreciate a reply

  28. Dear all, does it take any time for designs to be approved by admins or something like that? I am writing as a new teespring member and I have created some designs that seem to be invisible publicly and I can’t start selling them? Thank you in advance. 🍀

  29. Does anyone get an error message when trying to upload? “Product size prices must be set” I tried changing prices, image dimensions is set to great and I just keep getting the same error message. Please help. I made a,k my designs on typorama and no luck as of yet

  30. make it short simple your content…. because its getting boring. and content is good. make it simple…(my opinion only)

  31. kwfinder.com now requires You to register and gives a 10 days free trial. After that it’s 29$/month. Any alternative?

  32. Oh my anxiety is over now…thanks to you. I was so worried about designing… not anymore🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🎊🎊🎊😉

    1. Love to hear this Heather! You got this! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions along your way! Best of luck to you!👍🏼👍🏼

  33. Do I have to print them for myself and sell then or I just design them and people just buy the design? I don’t get it

  34. Hey guys! I started watching this video from like a week and guess what today I created my account about mugs 😂
Of course it’s a learning process.
Here is my instagram account : mugsbyarly

    1. That’s great Franchetta! Feel free to let me know if you any questions along your journey! 😊 Thank you for watching!

    1. @Joanie, Hey can u help me please? Should I just design them and upload them? How do I get to make sells I dont get it. Should i have the machines to print them or no???

  35. Thank you, thank you, thank you and thank you again. Straight to the point, so many resources and actionable, understandable steps, plus the logic behind each step. A rarity to find in all the “How to” videos on YouTube. GREAT, GREAT job to you, sir. I am much appreciative.

  36. Hi Greg, let’s say I loved this “Inhale Exhale” thing, Can I made similar ones with another design (ligelly…)

  37. Can I sell a product on Teespring Go that I already have that I didn’t buy from Teespring? TS can’t give me a straight answer. Their GO video says I can but I get conflicting answers from the emails they have sent me. Also, is there a phone # to call them?

  38. Good stuff. What would you say is teespring’s approach to royalty free designs? We sell graphics for merch use and so no other sellers can rightfully claim of infringement. Would that pass their copyright test? In your opinion only of course.

  39. SO….can I buy designs on placeit and sell them as REAL T-shirts on Teespring?
is this a possible deal? would you recommend doing this?

  40. The Typorama app doesn’t save the files as transparent background even tough you select that at the start, has anyone else had this problem or know what I am doing wrong as it saves my files as a jpeg. file which by default always have a white background. thanks

  41. I could not get in to a KW because I could not get past the popup that requested my email.I put in my email and then it said free for 10 days, so I am not sure if it is changed or I am missing something.

    1. Hey Phyllis, Thanks for asking! KWFinder still offers 10 day free trials with each email address you use, however they have been making it difficult to do that with their popups… It’s not as easy as it was before but you can navigate back to KWFinder manually after the pop redirects you (and that typically works). 42. I think this was my missing puzzle piece to make it work and I am so thankful for all your clear concise help you give.

  43. Greg, When it comes to Personality Rights, what about having a print on demand store that say using famous quotes from old and modern famous personalities, as opposed to normal quotes?

  44. I have been doing a lot of my passive income shirts and still uploading them with premium shirt do you think that is hurting my sales? they are still low price 17 18 dollars tops? but do people search for the classic more or do they come up more? thanks maybe upoad to both classic and comfort?

  45. Wow this guy is super. I signed up in Teespring years ago but I only made 1 design and totally forgot about it. Will be doing it full force. Thanks a lot for the free tutorials. Godbless you!

    1. Love this! Enjoy the journey & feel free to let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for watching 👍🏼👍🏼

  46. I did everything in this video and I felt really good about it, but it didn’t drive any traffic or any sales. what did I do wrong

  47. You should of mention in your video that Typorama watermark is on the design when created. You have to purchase a subscription to remove it.

  48. My concern is where someone orders 15-20 shirts and then chooses to return it. What’s the story on returns?

  49. so you upload a couple of hundered designs, no sale no fee. What if Teespring changes it’s terms and conditions and force you to buy all your shirts? I gather you are not allowed to delete your design…EVER

  50. Hi,
This can be done only in US & UK ? I’m from India and can i join Teespring and publish my design ?
How will the amount flow since Teespring is a US company and I have my bank account in India ?

  51. Hey Greg. just a quick one on Teespring. Am finding a bit of trouble when it comes to filling in my pay out section. Please go through it for me. thank you.

  52. Hii..I started doing designs in teespring after watching ur video..itz been 1 week now..when will I get paid?and how to launch listing?

  53. Hello Greg, this video is really the most helpful I’ve found on the subject. I was taking these steps alongside, but got stuck at the apps because they don’t seem to be working as you’ve illustrated. Is there some other alternative?
    Thank you!

  54. Can you just use white or lighter lettering on the blue shirt? I could hardly see the black on the blue shirt.

  55. Hi Greg, thanks so much for such useful content! I have downloaded Typorama and created text, but when I downloaded it comes with “Made with Typorama” on the bottom. Does this mean we gotta buy the Typorama pro?

    1. Thanks for asking! KWFinder still offers 10 day free trials with each email address you use. You can either keep using emails for free 10 days, or you can use Google Keyword Planner as free forever option. I currently use Merch Informer, it’s the best option in my opinion. 56. so ive been wondering if i make merchandise for my discord server….do i have to own the merchandise and sell it on my own…or Teespring itself will print the design and help me deliver it?

  57. First off thanks for your tutorials. I sold my first shirt on redbubble within a week!

I have a question though. For uploading designs on redbubble, do I have to add each color separately, or can I choose all the colors I want like teespring? Also on teespring, I can’t seem to upload a new design with the unisex shirt (there’s an unlock icon).

    Thanks again.

  58. Hi Greg, I’m just beginning to launch my brand, and your video seems to be the most helpful I’ve ever seen since I began to think about selling on internet! I just have a question about KWFinder: is it totally free? because when I visited the website I had an ad for mangools, seems I have to create an account which is free only for 10 days…

  59. I really don’t leave comments…but you are the best tutorial on youtube. You speak quickly and clearly. If I miss something I can go back and listen again. I look more from you than I would taking a class that is expensive and drags out for weeks. Thank You. Really Appreciate it Greg.

    1. Thank you for this comment & for watching! I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos and finding them valuable! 👍🏼 Keep enjoying & feel free to let me know if you have any questions 🙂

  60. I’ll reference to this because I want to start making an income with my passion with traditional drawings onto T-shirts on Teespring.

  61. Thank you so much Greg!! For so much time I wanted to find something legit that could work and be more productive and you really helped me out!! I have started a few days now with placeit and everything you recommended. I opened an Instagram account “cups_of_tees”where I try to do some promotion. In addition I created a redbubble account called “bubble bulb” but I don’t do any promotion there. So far I haven’t had any sales but I’m really into this. I try to make 5 designs per day and upload them. Have a good day everyone and don’t get frustrated if it doesn’t work at the begging!!

    1. Sounds like you’re doing a great job Nick- keep it up! Also, thank you for promoting positivity to others on here- you’re awesome! 👍Thanks for you support 🙂

    1. @a google user only if it’s been actually put out there for sale. Not if you were only toying around with different ideas that had never been posted out there for sale. 👕

    2. correct, plus can Teespring force you to buy your shirts if they charnge terms and conditions in the future? as they do not allow you to delete your designs..ever

  62. Can you explain a little more about how to avoid duplicating someone else’s desing use of words? I am assuming you have to stay away from simple clean…too easy to be alike 🤷‍♀️

  63. I dont understand why I would search etsy instead of searching teespring🤔
I did a design from scratch and got removed… the back was very simple with a word so I guess I accidently did something that’s already been done🤷‍♀️
How do I know? I am afraid to try again without knowing what was wrong…haven’t heard back from teespring yet. Does teespring ever let you know what is wrong with it or no?

  64. Gary, KWFinder no longer has any free searches or a free account option. It has been bought by some other company and they only have paid accounts now. Please update or DELETE this video which now has incorrect information.

    1. Thanks for asking! KWFinder actually still offers 10 day free trials with each email address you use. You can either keep using emails for free 10 days, or you can use Google Keyword Planner as free forever option. I currently use Merch Informer, it’s the best option in my opinion. Here’s a video I made on it, hope it helps! https://youtu.be/2JI9VCIhPNI Also here’s a more detailed comparison of how the 2 are different (there are a couple big differences to be aware of) https://youtu.be/K4aLqnxUS5A

  65. Can not find any other designig app which can be used for commercial use and for profit…Any recommendation anyone as Typorama app does not working the same way on android as you can not choose the transparent background…just a picture😑

  66. Could someone please clarify what apps on Android can be used for commercial purposes? I’ve looked into apps such as WordSwag which apparently dont have the full licenses for all the fonts they include – so you can only use the app for personal use, not commercial – is this true?

Also looked at TextSwag and that app appears really limited on Android in what it allows you to do.

    Any suggestions/advice?

  67. It’s not letting me check out the keyword site for free. It’s demanding (by not giving me the option to click off anywhere) that I register for a 10 day free trial. Bummer.

  68. Greg Gottifried please how do I get my designs on the t-shirt on Tee spring with a smart phone …am finding it hard to upload an image

    1. Placeit is the best software (on any device) by far. App specific for android, wordswag is a contender 🙂 I hope that helps!

  69. Thanks for this tutorial. I am coming across this for the first time. I am really interested. How do I start?

  70. Brilliant tutorial bro I’ve always wanted to create shirts thanks for the inspiration and wisdom 🤞🏾😎

    1. I’m glad this was able to motivate you- you got this! 👍🏼 Enjoy the journey & j wish yo my the best of luck! 🙂

  71. its a lot of people in this world who think alike what if you change the design and its still something someone else wrote/created?

  72. Hii Greg, you have explained each and every details very finely.but still I have doubt.
    Is this relevant in India.
I asked you if I can use android one plus phone instead of laptop or I phone.
I will be grateful if you reply to my questions

  73. Great stuff! It seriously saved me a lot of time! I’ll let you know when I start making some money! ALOHA!

    1. Fantastic! Can’t wait to hear from you again Chase! Thank you for watching! I wish you nothing but success😊

  74. any other kw finder?!! because it says that my plan has expired and i need to pay if i want to use it

  75. kw finder does not work. unless you start a mangoo account. It just hangs on their “we promise to redirect you in 30 seconds” forever

    1. Thanks for asking! No worries, try going back manually. KWFinder still offers 10 day free trials with each email address you use. You can either keep using emails for free 10 days, or you can use Google Keyword Planner as free forever option. I currently use Merch Informer, it’s the best option in my opinion. Here’s a video I made on it, hope it helps! https://youtu.be/2JI9VCIhPNI Also here’s a more detailed comparison of how the 2 are different (there are a couple big differences to be aware of) https://youtu.be/K4aLqnxUS5A

  76. When I make a design on Typorama using the transparent setting and add it to Teespring, there is a white block around the text I add on the T-shirt. How do I get rid of this?

    1. Hi Laura, It’s likely changing from a transparent background to a white background jpeg when you are sending it yourself. Sometimes certain email providers change the image automatically. I recommend trying to send it to yourself with a different email provider, or a different method entirely.

  77. New to this, ran across this video… honest question: is this for real ? And if so would any one that is doing this be willing to post a link to there store here to prove its legit? Dont mean to sound so straight forward? But not afraid to at least ask.

    1. Greg Gottfried i have started making designs, im focusing on text for now. I have 2 up on the first site. Hopefully ill have more up soon. Guess i get the store up soon and watch a video to get it linked to instagram. Can you give me a link to the video that will do that.

    2. Greg Gottfried thank you for being honest and fair with your reply. All good points that i should have concidered before asking.. just that i am quick to act on something and it turns out to be something that is made to sound simple but the deeper you dive, you drown in the cost. This sounds very doable, i have just started watching the videos and i see now that there are a lot of small steps to get it up and moving. But all for the most seem to be free. For the most part. Although the pro version of that app for the i phone now cost 17 dollars hahaha guess capitalism is still alive and well. I am going to work on my 5 to 10 designs and see if i can get the up on the first website. I have created my email address, so far. How long did it take you from your first starting to sell your first item? And which site did it sell on first? Just asking

    3. Hey Michael, I totally know you’re feeling. In short, yes it is very real. You may have a hard time finding people willing to share their stores because people tend to copy their designs… I used to share my personal stores here on YouTube and unfortunately the designs in them were all copied.. With that said, it works well but definitely takes some guts to get started and put in the work 🙂

  78. Hello. I followed your guide and sent the text to my gmail. it ‘s not tranparency, but with white space . Can you help me with it, please?

  79. Thank you so much for all of your valuable information! I don’t know if things have changed – but it seems to me like the quality at teespring has gone way down. I recently created my own store, and have sold 16 items, 6 of which I purchased myself for friends. I have had 5 items arrive – and they have been HORRIBLE. I have been sent the wrong sizes, and the logos/writing have not been to scale and crooked. I have also received one shirt in the wrong color. Shipping took over 3 weeks, and it has been very difficult to get in touch with them. I’m wondering if they are so backed up and just can’t do the quality assurance anymore. I am hesitant to keep this store open and caution anyone who is thinking about putting time into this, maybe creating one or two items, ordering samples and seeing for yourself first.

  80. first of all i want to thank you for this helpful video , second can you please do the same but for redbubble ? i really found it difficult to use , third do i have to pay for ads ? i know it will be helpful if i do , but if i use only the free ways (no ads ) that means that i will never sell anything ?

  81. Thank you SO much for your guidance! I’m a graphic designer who has had trouble marketing myself, and learned more here than in college regarding the issue. No sense having the skills if you can’t do anything with it. Just working on launching some designs and super excited to see where it will go! Thank you!!

    1. I am so happy this was able to guide you! And you are absolutely right- use your skills! I wish you nothing but success! Thank you for watching 😊

  82. Really good video. I am not able to download either Typorama or Word swag in my Androide Phone from plastore.

  83. Right now my goal is to get help on how to learn POD and then affiliate marketing. Possibly start my own youtube channel . I do need your help I’m new to tech and am very interested in learning .

  84. Please reply.
If we cant use picture if anybody used that particular picture before then how could we use placeit? Because anybody can use those same pictures those are already in placeit.

  85. can anyone from abroad earn from teespring or merch by amazon etc? like Pakistan?
    waiting for your response….!

  86. @Greg, the reviews that you see on Etsy are for the store selling the t-shirt, not for that particular t-shirt design. And these stores have a bunch of different categories of t-shirts, not just one single niche. How to figure out what kind of t-shirts actually sell better than others?

  87. I am having an issue uploading my image to my shirt. I am clicking the add image button but nothing seems to be happening. Has anyone ever ran into this problem. If so, how did you resolve it?

  88. I have difficulties with the quality when I transfer it to teespring, any advice? Thank you so much for your videos 😍

    1. Thanks for asking Laurie!

  89. Hi! This is so helpful! Thank you very much for this. I have a question what if my niche is a fandom shirt say for example a taylor swift shirt if I want lyrics as design do i still need to change the words so it doesnt violate copyright?

    1. I appreciate your support & I am glad you found value in my videos 👍🏼 Always more great videos and info to come!

  90. Hi Greg. Do you have any thoughts or vids on selling on Etsy? I have seen that it is possible for POD but wonder what you think. Thank you.

    1. KWFinder still offers 10 day free trials with each email address you use. You can either keep using emails for free 10 days, or you can use Google Keyword Planner as free forever option. 91. I am not able to resize on Coffee mugs. how can I set length breadth ratio so that my image sets onto the item directly

  92. The reviews are totals for the store, not the shirt. When you click on the shirt, on it’s product page it will show how many reviews that particular shirt has.

  93. Thank you for these golden informations bro, wish you all the best ! Like, comment and share you deserve millions subscribers man !

    1. Wow, thanks so much for your support! Happy I’m able to give you all as much valuable information as I can!

  94. I’ve been puting “BUY IT NOW” in all my listings just to realize that the button now says “ADD TO CART”…

  95. Hello Greg, I’m from India, Thank you so much for these amazing videos. 😇
I want to ask you, Can I do it from India? If yes then How I get the money ?
    Please reply and Thanks🙂

    1. Hey Karishma thanks for asking! Yes you can do this in India. Teespring pays with either Paypal or Payoneer.

  96. Hello, Greg! Question : I know you said that this is a really passive online business model. But after you have gotten sales etc, do you still do Instagram posts like 3 times/day or once a week? Or do you hire an assistant to do that for you?

  97. her Greg i am in the process of starting my t shirt line, my designer keep tripping on me. want to know more how to create and print my own t shirt.

    1. Thank you for the comment! Congratulations on getting started! As always, if you have any questions just let me know!

  98. Hello Greg, I wanted to ask you do you still recommend the Call to action >> “Choose your size and color below then BUY IT NOW to place your order.” << Since BUY IT NOW is upper case and I am not sure if Teespring will like it, I saw over 20 designs that are recommended and promoted by Teespring, and none of them has Call to Action. Thank you!

  99. Are we able to do this all through the phone I’ve been trying and changing the design on the shirt I been having trouble

  100. Thank you soo much for sharing this video Greg ! Its soo hard now in days to find informative helping videos for FREE. I plan on sharing my successful videos for free in the near future. I truly appreciate you!

    1. Thank you Shay! I am glad this helped you out because I’m happy to be able to share it with you! I wish you all the success!

  101. Bist du eigentlich zweisprachig aufgewachsen? Dein Englisch ist so gut und so akzentfrei. Oder wie/ wo hast du das so gut gelernt? 🙂 Danke für deine vielen guten Videos

  102. I have a question you searched valid keywords in KWfi, nder, but then you went ahead and chose a title that is irrelevant to the key word that you bothered looking for, can you please explain?
    Great video by the way

  103. I was hoping to use wordswag since i have a android phone. But im not happy with the reviews. Every one complaining about crashes and glitches. Can you recommend me another app please

  104. Thank you so much for this helpful and informative tutorial. I will definitely be using some of these techniques to earn even more from my website that I shared on my channel. Currently I’m earning between $400-$500/day …

  105. Hey Greg I am getting an error while uploading the image made using Canva (5000×5000) and made transparent using GIMP.
The print area boundary is red saying printable area and error says ‘multiple files failed to upload’.

  106. Is it possible to sell from India? (I’m asking because there is a difference in currency).
Also, how would teespring or other similar websites pay me? (As i believe there would be some additional charges when it comes to international transactions)

  107. What are the best practices for using movie or sport related designs? For instance… “You’re killing me smalls” from the Sandlot. I assume they have a way of monitoring against copyright or trademark infringement? Any experience you can share?
    Thanks!!

  108. Teespring web was offline and typeorama was was not the same as the one you have. It was for making posters.

    1. Thanks for asking Cheryl! KWFinder still offers 10 day free trials with each email address you use. You can either keep using emails for free 10 days, or you can use Google Keyword Planner as free forever option. I currently use Merch Informer, it’s the best option in my opinion. 109. I can’t tell you the countless videos and hours I have spent searching how to do this and not pay $997 or $1997 or some outrageous price. I literally have been praying for God to help me find your kind of video training! Thank you for sharing! I am so excited to do this! Do you have a forum or Facebook page?

  110. how does copyright work with something like word swag or placeit type logos? Do the similar figures create problems?

    1. Great question! I just saw your other comment too so I’ll copy paste this to that one as well but anything you create on Placeit comes with full commercial usage rights (so you can upload it and sell it on any print on-demand sites). If you upload a duplicate design that is already on the print on-demand website, yours will be removed because someone already uploaded it. As long as you are customizing the templates, and not just downloading the templates as-is from Placeit, you won’t have any issues with copyright at all.

  111. Products designed by me aren’t showing to the customers.. It only shows in my profile under storefront and listings that, I have even made the products show public in settings. Suggestions please!!

  112. I’m not from US. Do i need to have paypal account? (I guess for universal selling, it a must right?) Or i can just use local bank account?

  113. can you help us for the Store , i’m not an US person and how can i used the store, they said this company no longer available due continue Issue. how can i fix the problem

  114. Unfortunately I cannot use keyword finder because I’d have to sign up for a subscription. I cannot do that at this time money is tight. Please tell me there is another way to check to see if my niche is too competitive??!!!!!

  115. Sadly KWfinder no longer allows free searches. 🙁 They are only offering a ten day free trail. However it does not require credit card info. 🙂

  116. This is such an incredible video, especially now, and you’re amazing for going through the trouble of explaining in depth like this. Thank you!!

    1. Greg Gottfried
OK yes well do. Is it best to ask my questions here on youtube or is there a better way to reach out to you? I new at this and would appreciate the help 😊

  117. i am trying to use this KWFINDER and you say it is free, but It will not let me use it unless I sign up for an account which gives me a 10 day Free TrIal??? wHAT IS UP WITH THAT?
iT MAY HAVE BEEN FREE BEFORE BUT IT AINT FREE ANYMORE!!!

  118. Greg, just discovered your channel. Watched this video first. Outstanding and thank you so much for sharing. Mike

    1. I dont know why my design is being reviewed over redbubble…
I uploaded it today ..and got a mail that your sale is suspended

  119. Hi Greg. So, what if you get a NA for all three Search, CPC, and PPC on a search term? Does that mean there’s no market within for t-shirts within that market? Because literally, if no one is searching for a t-shirt for the niche, then to my knowledge that’s why kwfinder would say NA. What do you think?

  120. Thank you first of all!

    I have a question though.
You searched as keyword for “yoga shirt” but it is not your keyword anymore?

Is this shirt still coming up on google als yoga shirt? Or are you now selling to persons that are already on the teespring website searching for yoga?

  121. Hello Greg! * Help needed*
I watched your video and i follow the steps just like you said but whenever i uplaod an image , it always says *”Your file failed to uplaod”* ,no matter how many times i retry it always stays there .I have tried different devices but couldn’t get solution of this issue.

    Help please!!!

  122. KWFinder (Mangools) is now a paid tool and can’t be accessed unless you pay for it (I just paid for Placeit, which was well worth the money.) I’d rather not go broke making all these SAAS (Software as a service) companies richer and me poorer lol! I guess I’ll have to use Ubersuggest for now, a free keyword tool, until I feel I can make my money back comfortably investing in SEO tools like Mangools, SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc… Thanks for the video though, it’s helpful!

    1. @Greg Gottfried Yep just saw your updated video. I have used your coupon and now have MerchInformer. Trying to build this business while driving for Amazon on the side is tricky but I just pounded out 10 designs on Placeit. Thanks for your help!

  123. Does teespring marketing of our products because many of us dont have enough followers in social networking sites.

  124. I am here because I have teespring and just look through cool designs! I’m not willing to sell or buy anything I’m just having fun 😊 but I just wanna know why did I get 3 ads that talk about making money online? 😂

  125. Great video Greg, testing everything step-by-step today.

I’m struggling a bit with the typography generator. Wordswag is so infested with ads it’s difficult to test it out. Trying a few others for Android but none look as user-friendly or have the automatic generator Typorama uses

Has any android users found anything they’d suggest? Currently trying Pixel Lab but it doesn’t have the same automatic options

    1. Just to note – I’m happy to pay for software but only if it has the automatic generator function and/or is user-friendly

    1. @Greg Gottfried By the way do you know how can I get my hands on Google Keyword Planner? I can’t seem to access it.

    1. You can select either Paypal or Payoneer in the settings page on Teespring. Then once you make sales on Teespring you can payout to that account anytime.

  126. Hi Greg! I follow your videos and I got influenced to join the Teespring team. But I am facing poor image quality each time I attempt to proceed further. I tried pictures from my iPhone camera and others that I had in store. Nothing worked. I even attempted to use online tools to enhance the image resolution but even this seemed futile. Would you please help?

    1. This video is from early 2019 so some of the sources are not available any more. I’m running into the same issue. There is an updated video from 2020 in the info box above.

  127. How can I get my designs to sell? I made some Halloween themed apparel and I can’t afford to pay for any Ads or promotion. Does anybody have any advice on how I can make my designs reach more people?

  128. I just made my first upload to Teespring for a shirt idea based on your video (How to create Tshirt Designs…). The information is awesome and I really look forward to finding ways to supplement my income. Why did you reference the need to search for Key Words? You used the KWFinder website, but I did not see how you incorporated that into the final product or design.

  129. Question, Everytime a try to share my Tyorama design it gives me a blacked out image in on phone. I purchased this app so there shouldn’t be any issues with privileges or exporting. Any idea’s?

  130. Thanks for the detailed video Greg! I think the KWFinder might work differently in the UK as you’re promoted to sign up automatically. 10 days should be enough time to find a decent phrase 😊

  131. You’re so nice even giving people your permission if they’d like to copy the description you put for your products. Very informative video too. God bless you!

    1. Thanks for asking Robert!

  132. Hi Greg,
I am giving you a big hug all the way from Nigeria, thanks for this tutorial, I must comment it’s very insightful and very helpful. But I have a question , it might be silly but i am a bit confuse; it about pricing, i saw in the video you reduce the base cost. Does it mean that the base cost is the recommended or set price to sell but i can reduce or increase it? Thanks again and God bless you.

  133. Anyone having success with Teespring in India? I am planning on uploading a bunch of designs on Teespring. Great tutorial..!!

  134. Im at my wits end!! Does this ACTUALLY WORK? Would you be interestd in doing a Video series with me. A person that has no YT Uploading Video experience, ZERO Online work Experience. I work in Finance the past 15 years and I just cant do it any more. Would you be interested in showing your Public that THIS DOES WORK By bringing me (NO EXPERIENCE) through the steps? And showing only HONEST results? Im based in Ireland BTW. Im asking a few YouTube Guru’s teh same question as I REALLY need a change. Thanks V

  135. I prefer to make my designs in Adobe Photoshop. What are the actual ideal design size (and dpi) for images??

  136. Re: 6:53 — to take screenshots on Windows, you can press [Windows Button] + [Print Screen] to instantly capture the whole page and save it to C:UsersPicturesScreenshots or [WB] + [Shift] + [S] to snip a certain portion of the page which will automatically be copied to your clipboard and you can then edit and save to your preferred location.

  137. I wonder if Redbubble is not larger than Teespring now? I think the only thing I like better about Teespring is the thing with multiple storefronts and the statistics graph. All the sales I’ve made so far have been on Redbubble. Same with my friends. There are more products on Redbubble and the design UI is much more user friendly in my opinion, I love that you can make a pattern of your prints on for example leggings and socks. Their support is great and quick whereas I have heard from several people that teespring sometimes do not answer e-mails at all! Maybe amazon is best but I havent been accepted there yet.
I made 5 prints on Teespring day before yesterday, maybe not super advanced prints but I think they looked pretty cool, I got 15 views, day after that zero, today zero. Ok sure it was without advertising or using them on placeit and instagram but still, I would have expected at least some more views than that I have a feeling that Redbubble shows your prints at least somewhat more than Teespring does because I got a few sales there with no ads at all. Or perhaps Teespring is just more oversaturated?

Oh and also how do the shipping rates compare? I see many people complaining about Teesprings high shipping fees. Perhaps this is why Redbubble is (maybe) easier to get sales on.

  138. At the last step publish listing it will show an upload error everytime i tried and will ask to check your internet connection

  139. None of the tools you use are free as of today when I checked… Typorama and WordSwag both put their logo on the design when you save the image and kwfinder no longer has 5 free searches a day…

  140. Can someone please explain how to get a .png file from Typorama (ios) to my HP laptop (Android)? It sends it as a .jpg thus creating a white box around my design. PLEASE HELP!

  141. I just noticed on mobile the text you input comes underneath the size selection. So maybe say “Select your size” instead of “Select your size below”

  142. I tried to use it and it would not allow me to make a free search it keeps insisting that I have to have an account so is your information outdated

  143. But I Don’t Favorite Pink I Love Blue Yellow Orange Even Like Your something First I Am IN THE 2020 AGUSTUST 19 THAT BEACUSE I AM BEING UNDERSTAND

    Your Ugly Tho

  144. Wouldn’t it be better to create individual listings for separate items? I would assume it’s confusing if a customer clicks on a listing that shows a t-shirt and then gets different products to choose from. As a designer working in ecomm for big brands, I’ve learned a few things, but maybe I’m not seeing something here?

  145. Hey Greg bro, how can i download templates in teespring, bro i want to edit them in other software to make them more attractive

  146. I prefer to look for something that I can easily steal without having to actually do work. Welcome to the new millennial, Silicon Valley, tim Ferris as spirit animal, dystopia….

  147. Love how you touched on having too many options. That is so true I have left a site just to sit back back and think what color do I want??? You truly have thought of everything!

    1. Thanks for asking James!

  148. hi Greg, thanks for sharing this with all of us.. now i’ll start my own teespring design.
before that, i have a Question since teespring never ask for our bank account or anything when we sign up, how will they send us the money for our sells?
also, i wonder if it’s possible to use a bank account from my country (outside of USA) and convert it to my country’s currency?
thanks a lot in advance for answering.

  149. I was doing a design while watching this video while going through all the steps but I noticed that the “preview” version of the design that I made is different than the “design” version. It looks broken around the edges and horrible compared with the original. Is anyone else having that problem? How can I fix it?

  150. I’ve heard that it’s always legal to copy words from an existing design, but never copy art. Is this true?

  151. Thank you so much for filming and sharing this terrific video Greg it was extremely informative and incredibly helpful I am going to use all of these tips and advice to create some amazing merchandise on my tee spring. I never would have thought of trying to use just words on merchandise always thought it would have to be a combination of words and graphics and I don’t know how to find graphics to use on tee spring.

  152. Hey Greg

I see that you made a new video for this t shirt design online plan. Would you say this video above is still worth watching? Or is it dated?

  153. Thanks for this, although heading to KWFINDER, you have to create an account already, will this automatically renew to a paid subscription once my trial is finished?

  154. How do you take the background off so the text can pop up only. I tried your method on tee spring and there’s a white background that keeps popping up

  155. When you mention multiple designs…are you using the same phrase or quote and just re-designing the text? Or are you coming up with 50 different phrases?

  156. I recommend you look into the correct pronunciation of niche, especially if you’re going to say it so often!!!

  157. I appreciate this information, I subscribed and I’m learning. Just an observation though–in ETSY the “Reviews” listed are for the STORE, not the particular item. So over “a thousand reviews” doesn’t suggest that particular T-Shirt is popular. Or am I missing something?

    1. I was going to comment on this myself, but you beat me to it! 🙂 You are absolutely correct! The review number is total reviews for that seller/store. It has nothing to do with the item you’re looking at. You could find a seller with 1,000 great reviews, but maybe there isn’t a single review for the actual item you’re looking at.

  158. Spent around 15 min reading comments and seems like no one ever made money from this? If you did please reply and share your story!

  159. Just watched this useful video and wanted to let folks that that Typorama (as of 8/9/2020) $2.99 a month or $17.99 one time.

  160. hi! may i ask for something? just for clarification, when i design T-shirt ( for example ) at teespring, and someone buy my design, Teespring will do the production, Right? and i just need to do is DESIGN. ( for CLARIFICATION )

  161. So many other YouTube videos are there regarding this…. but this one is the most helpful and precise 👌🏻👍🏻

  162. Is Typorama and Word Swag available with android? It looks like there are a lot of imposters and I’m struggling with finding the one in the video.

  163. Ok that black text with the dark blue background is terribad 😂 Amazing video though! One of the best youtube channels I’ve ever come across. Thank for all the information.

    1. @Greg Gottfried I am thinking is it they purposely bought these t-shirts from you to thank you/support you for sharing valuable lessons.

    2. Thanks! Agreed! The funny thing is that the week of making this video, I had sold a ton of shirts in that very color combination! It was top of mind when making the video 🙂

  164. Thank you so much for your videos which are very informative and I managed to design and post my first listings through your step by step guidence.

  165. Hi Greg, Been watching your print on demand videos. Is it possible to get sales on Teespring without marketing the products anywhere? Just organically?

  166. Why does nobody speaks that actually nothing will happen until you pay at least 10dollars per day to pay adds ?. Now after revenue not a lot is left on real profits… think about it…

  167. Thank you I love your video, How will I make a profit just by putting a T-shirt on there platform, I am not famous and not popular on social media.

    1. Glad it helped! That’s my goal with this channel (all the videos here on youtube are completely free and include the content that you’d typically have to pay for in a course). I hate when you get teased and then have to pay for an expensive course to get the real information. You won’t find that here 🙂

  168. Thanks Greg this is really helpfull. If you could cover a tutorial for uploading designs to Redbubble would be great. I’m really new to the game and it can be overwhelming to be honest.

  169. Customer can buy this product from India?
    What about the payment process?
From which website people can use to bring up the product ‘s

  170. OMG …u just educated ppl on marketing ..most easy way possible I’m new here…I really hope this works thank you…for sharing!!..❣️❣️

  171. Hey Greg, Love the content! KWFinder is not free. So operating on a thin shoe string budget, any other suggestions for a free key word finder?

    1. Thanks for asking Patrick!

  172. I cannot use kwfinder for free. They ask me to sign up for free 7 days trial only. How? You not even sign in you can start search. How you do that?

  173. Can you use the same quote but change the font and the color? Or a quote that has an image but don’t use the image while changing the font and color?

  174. Can you please please do a tutorial for Merch by amazon and redbubble too. Teespring is not available in my country. God bless you Greg

  175. It feels like you need to either be extremely talented at coming up with graphic designs or have a very well known social media to actually make this work.

    1. In the past that was definitely the case. Now with design tools it’s pretty beginner friendly. I’ve been watching a lot of people lately get started from scratch and getting sales started. Here is the more recent video that I suggest 🙂 https://youtu.be/DvWFwKSEByw

  176. Is there a way to bold certain words in your description? I was browsing some other stores to see some examples of what’s trending today and how other people get creative and I noticed some of them bolded or italicized some of their phrases to personalize their descriptions and to emphasize certain things. Do you think they’re using HTML coding for that?

  177. This might sound silly with an obvious answer, but what if there is a nichè i am passionate about but ranks as an F on merch informer. I know it’d be a lot of competition but maybe still worth it?

  178. Would it be a good idea to make T-shirts with people’s names and meanings or would this be considered spammy by Teesrping if I did like 100 t-shirts with different names and meanings?

  179. Hi Greg, I used Typoroma to create my design but Teespring copyrights it as of August 2020. Do you recommend any other apps that wouldn’t? Thank you!

  180. friendly tip that the keywords you dismissed as not relevant were actually in german, meaning there is actually an even larger number of people searching for yoga shirts

  181. But what if I pick black t shirt color and the text is in black as well? Can I change text color only for that t shirt?

  182. I live in the UK, will I be able to make sales from there?
Also do I need any other skills to get me to make more sales?

  183. Dear greg, if someone purchased my product how i would get my profit, because we are not supposed to add any bank details here

  184. Thank you so much ! I launched my design for the first time today. Your video will help me improve. Thank you again.

  185. Hi! Do I have to have to generate 2 sales per design to get my trust score up or does tee spring promote all my products in my storefront when I sold 2 products of any design in there? I hope this question makes sense 😅

  186. Beginner here: I’m from India, can I try this out. Would it work?. Also, at this moment, could you let me know which app (for Android) could I use creating designs.?. Thanks in advance Greg..

  187. When calculating the averages you should weight them by the search volume. If Yoga Shirt is the most searched then its KD value is more significant that T-shirt Yoga. A better solution would be to multiply the KD value by the search count, sum those, then divide by the sum of search count.

  188. Does anyone know what is the upload limit per day? I uploaded 50 designs and got message that i hit max of daily upload, please try in a few hours again. It past more than 24h and i still cant upload more.

  190. Hello, sir i have a question, suppose what if me and some other guy take inspiration from the same prouduct and by coincidence choose the exact same design from typorama and upload it and neither knows about it. What happens then? or what if i make some design and i did not know it already exisited?

  191. This is really fuckin’ scummy, inspiration implies you put any effort into it creatively. This is the exact same thing as making cheap knockoff products, you flood the market and whats worse the things you are making knockoffs of are things I already dislike for how generally lazy they are.

  192. Hi Greg,
I have a small doubt. What if I want to use a common phrase like the “inhale exhale” ??? What about the copyright issue here?

  193. Thanks for this free useful quality content bro :). I have a question , can one seller have multiple niches on their store?

  194. I added pretty much every product variation to my first few designs, now I wish to sell only a few variations, as suggested here. But I cant see a way to just remove only a few things.. for example to only remove the ‘pet hoodie’ but keep the overall item. I dont want to delete the item totally to start again. How can i do this? I can’t see such an option

  196. i did everything right, therefore teespring show a “low image resolution” msg. I just email me the image, straight from the app – textswag (i am on android)…i didn’t get it? will you help me?

    1. Also , Can you tell me what do you think about Word Swag ?

      I don’t think it’s that good
