You can start your cool T-shirt design for free using either Canva or Placeit or even Envato Elelements. Alternatively, if you prefer using a stand alone software you can download to your computer without eating up your wallet, then, my favorite is Art Text Design for Mac, though you may still use softwares like WordArt or simply check out Envato Marketplace for some cool and affordable products that may be used for the same purpose. You may also use free print-on-demand websites like Teepublic to sell items with your artwork designs printed on them and make some cool money from that.

NOTE: after filming, I realized the remove background feature is only with Canva Pro, so not free, I’m so sorry! Don’t worry though – you can use the remove.BG I mentioned site to remove the background and then import to keep it totally free 😊Remove Background – https://bit.ly/3bBFq2L
Hi friends!
Today I’m finally doing it – sharing how I create my cut files and more in Canva. I love Canva, I talk about it all the time in videos and my goal with this video was to teach you how to use Canva and to give you a resource to reference when you design your own files. Let me know if you have questions below and topics for a future Canva design video!
⁰⁰
감사합니다~^^
Can u suggest how to use non free things for free?
I know some😁
Thank you for this video. It was very helpful and I have saved it for future reference.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video, I have been using Canva for 2 years and you taught me a couple of things I didn’t know, thank you.
Great to hear!
Great video I am new to canva. Can I take my own logo and insert into a template?
Yep, just select upload on the left and select your file 🙂
Never heard of “ remove big “ so cool. Thanks for sharing…great video.
I was looking for help in learning more about Canva. Didn’t know this is how you do some of your items. The video definitely helped!
Thanks for this information.
Printables!!! Yes! Thanks!
So, if you cover this later please ignore… but do you transfer these to like a cameo 4 after…instead of using silhouette studios. ? Thank You!
I’m only familiar with Cricut, so I’m unable to teach on how to use it with Silhouette
Great video. Should I add crop and bleed marks to all digital prints (5×7; 8×10…..) or just the larger sizes like 11×14 and 16×20 or not at all unless customer asks for it? Should I offer both jpg and pdf? Thank you.
If they will print it themselves, I wouldn’t do crop marks. But if they plan to order it from a printer, then you can include that option. Also I’d you can, the more file types the better, I think
I use Canva too! Checkout my channel (I have some short video clips about my Canva designs).
Hey, at 16:56 you can left click and drag a box on top of all the text that you want to fill with the background. Then right-click on the dragged box and choose the option to fill all the letters with the background in one shot – If it is a Microsoft software and most softwares!👍🎃
amazing content friend
I would like to know how to make my own stencils.
I mean in canva then import them into design space.
If you head to my Cricut playlist, I have some videos that show how to do that 😊
WOW! Great tute! I can’t believe you don’t have a gillion views on this!
Do you have a video on how to make a Buffalo check background printables
I don’t. However you can import a buffalo check image into Canva and put a white square and text on top 🙂
What an amazing tool. I absolutely love that it works for Instagram and YouTube as well as design for products. It will make it so much easier to keep everything consistent and accessible. Thanks so much for sharing!
Is this saving it as a file so I can use it in Silhouette?
Yes, you should be able to! I have a Cricut, I’m not familiar with Silhouette.
Thanks for this tutorial. I’m excited to play with Canva now and start learning how to design my own stuff.
Right!!! She just made it a whole lot more approachable. Thank you Whiskey & Whit!
Very helpful
This was so helpful. I use Canva a lot and just bought a cricut. I was stressing out about designing on my own. It didn’t dawn on me to use Canva. ☺️
Thank you so much!!!!
Thank you for all that i wish i could remember it all! Do you give private lessons lol.
Thank you so much!!!
I love Canva, but obviously I didn’t use it as much!! Thanks for the tips!!
I’ve never heard of this program before and just downloaded it! I’ve had lots of people recommend PicMonkey, and I haven’t found it very user friendly in some ways – even after playing around with the free trial of the paid version. I’m looking to make my editing for things like YT Banner, etc. better looking. The one I made using PM isn’t sized correctly even though it was pre-made template. I’m looking forward to working with Canva. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome! I use it for all my YT stuff! The templates are so helpful!😊
I had never heard of Canva until you said about it. Yes, I live under a rock and I’m older. lol Like how user friendly it is. Hugs, Brenda
Thank you thank you!
This was awesome! I had not heard of this program, thank you so much for the tutorial!
I love canva 🖤 great video. Thanks for sharing.
Just for some info. Remove background feature is for Canva Pro
Thanks for the info – the description has been updated with a note to show how you can work around that to keep it free.
Thank you for sharing. So awesome.
I love Canva!!!! I use it for my job all the time!
Oh wow, I’ve had a YT channel for a year now and this will be a life saver, thank you so much for the awesome tutorial!
♥️♥️
I commented earlier but I had to let you know!! I tried website, and I did my project! I wish I could share it with you, I did keep going back to your video for every step, but I did a combined font and transferred to Design space, 1st ever! Ty so much 💖🤗!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 that’s so awesome!!! I’m so happy to hear it helped 😊
How do I insert the Registered Symbol in Canva? I am needing to place it after my designation🤗
Whiskey & Whit Awesome👏🏼 Thank you so much🤗 I love your videos, you’re super great at explaining the details that most people leave out❤️
Option R on a Mac or Hold down the left ALT key while typing 0174 on the numeric keyboard. You can also copy and paste the text from google 😊
This was so helpful
Wow this is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing. I can’t wait to try Canva. I’ve struggled finding fonts. Please do more tips!
Thank you for sharing ladybug! Looking forward to the next video!
Thank you!!!!
Love this tutorial. Thank you so much !!!
I can’t wait to start using canva!! Thank you so much!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
OMG Thank you so much, this was sooooo helpful, I have saved this video so I can keep referring back to it, there is so much information in here! You are the BEST!
To use background remover and the effects do I need to be a member?
Hi Maria! Yes, sorry about that, I didn’t realize that it was a pro feature when I made the video. No worries though, the description has been updated with a note to show how you can work around that to keep it free. You can remove the background on the remove.bg site and then upload that into Canva. Happy Crafting!
I would love to be able to do that. TFS
Thanks girl for this. I always forget I can use canva for so much more than just YouTube thumbnails.
Cool tutorial. T4 S 🐝 safe!😊😊👍😘
Ty so much!!!! Seems tricky but I’ll give it a shot 🙂 !
Next question…can you do this on a MacBook Air?
Yes! It’s web based so you can do it on any computer with an internet connection 😊
Can you send it to Cricut when you finish designing?
Okay you answered that question. 😀
PS yes please to round 2!
Lord have mercy, I’ve been using Canva for years and never knew about the remove background and the font finder. This is so cool, def a game changer ♥️ (p.s. they’re doing a one month free trial right now if anybody is interested – not a sponsored comment)
Oh that’s awesome! I didn’t see that, but maybe because I already have premium?
Thank you so much! Very helpful 😀
Yayeeee! So cool, I have been struggling with photoshopping for years, and Canva seems like the full meal deal ,easy peasy! So great of you to share! To take the time to do this with a newborn in the house is wonderful of you. Unless this was pretty baby filmed😉 Ps love the quote in your son’s room about being a son.
Thank you! Nope, I’m out of prefilmed things so all brand new stuff 😊 it’s my me time during naps 🙂
Thank you!!!
Thank you for sharing.
This is great. I love all the example you gave. Can’t wait to try it. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for the tutorial!!! Keep smiling! 🌹❤️🌷
Great tutorial!! I received a Cricut Maker for my bday a few months ago and the only thing I’ve done is cut out a bear which was the starting project lol. It’s definitely way more Cricut than I need but hopefully I’ll get to mastering it at some point. Do you think you could do a video and show us the actual Cricut cutting process with the machine? Like maybe make an image like you did today but show us how to use the actual Cricut to make the finished project using the products you like? If that’s too much for a video, it’s totally fine. I know how busy your days and nights are 💙. I really want to learn how to make decals first, then I can move onto other things. The Maker came with a ton of supplies because it cuts fabric too, but I don’t even know what supplies I have to use to make a simple decal. I’m not even sure if it came with transfer paper. I’d like to know what supplies are the best bang for my money, like rolls vs. sheet etc. Just a thought I had so I figured I’d ask in case it’s something you’re interested in doing as well. Thank you!!
Awesome!!! Can’t wait to see it!
Yes! I have that video coming up once it’s shot! It’s in the works 😊
Thank you so much Whitney and wait to try it with my cricut.
Wow, thank you for all the wonderful information!
You’re so welcome! I’m glad it was helpful!
Hey girl I have been using Canva but did not know much of what you taught so thank you and not sure about more questions, but if there is more to know would definitely like to see a round two. ☺
Awesome!! I’m so happy to hear that!
Thank you
Excellent Tutorial! I have been struggling with font combinations for projects. I can see a lot of time spent on Canva in my future. Thank you so much for sharing this!
So glad it was helpful!
Does this work with silhouette?
Yes it should! I’m just not familiar with their software.
Thank you so much for sharing I’m going to try canva for sure.
Yay!! So glad it was helpful!
Great video. Very helpful.
Thank you for this video!! I have the app and paid for the premium version but I haven’t used because when I tried I was lost lol
@Whiskey & Whit yayyyyy thank you hun sooo much!!
You are so welcome! If you get in there and have additional questions, let me know and I can do a round 2 🙂
