Seb the idea for trimming the video to get graphics to stay on for a certain time is great BUT I find it maddening and too time consuming trying to be that accurate with the cursor (I.e to within 0.1 of a second) most of the time it just happens with luck after multiple attempts! Have you or anyone got a way around this

Hi David. Not that I know of. Maybe Canva might add this in the future. If you wanted a colour overlay a workaround would be to add a rectangle over the video, change the colour of the rectangle and reduce the transparency.
i cant figure out how to have combine clips even after the video. He has a timeline that pops up on the bottom while editing videos and i cannot find the setting. Help please
Hi Penwell, the timeline should appear when you select a video template. Then click the plus sign to add more videos? Not sure if that helps…

So, Can Canva do all what Kinemaster app does for editing videos?
Hi Aimee, unfortunately Canva video cannot do everything that Kinemaster can do. Canva video does not have a traditional timeline (yet) so editing is limited. Kinemaster is better in this respect. Canva is good for short social media videos where you don’t need to fine tune your cuts or edit individual elements. 🙂

Good question. Not that I know of. I think you can only have 1 audio on it. But this may change in the future.
As per item 6. The sound matches up great but there’s a transition between each different segment. Anyone got any ideas?
how do you remove sound/audio?
You should be able to select the audio and delete for an uploaded song. If the video has audio built in you can reduce the volume of that clip.

Really helpful and informative video. Sadly, I think Canva have brought a feature out which is barely fit for purpose. I can’t comprehend how they’d allow you to add music but not fade it out? It makes the amazing music choices they have unusable, as you get to your final video sequence and the music just chops off without the chance to fade it. Also daft that you have to cut each video sequence to add multiple text sequences rather than edit them in one whole sequence.
Hi Andy, yes you are exactly right. This still needs a lot of work. I’m sure Canva are working on it. Looks like they have made changes already. Can barely call it a video editor without a a multi-track timeline.

Hi Camila, no transitions for video pages but there are transitions for presentations. No subtitles unless you manually add them with a text element.
So nice to finally listen to someone cool, calm and collected voice without having them gesticulating all over the place. This has helped me more than any other video on the subject. Thank you Seb!

Hi Tracy. Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately this cannot be done because there is only 1 audio track per video. So it can’t be split and the sound level changed. Hopefully Canva adds this feature in the future.

Hi Lai, no unfortunately not yet. Hopefully, Canva adds this feature in the future. Once they add tracks to the timeline this should be possible.
