You can start your cool T-shirt design for free using either Canva or Placeit or even Envato Elelements. Alternatively, if you prefer using a stand alone software you can download to your computer without eating up your wallet, then, my favorite is Art Text Design for Mac, though you may still use softwares like WordArt or simply check out Envato Marketplace for some cool and affordable products that may be used for the same purpose. You may also use free print-on-demand websites like Teepublic to sell items with your artwork designs printed on them and make some cool money from that.

Your videos are awesome as usual, my friend. 👌🏻
Keep rocking 👏🏻👏🏻
Yay, you’re back! I’m on it, honestly, after a few delays. Thanks for another dose of Passive Owl inspiration
Thank you for such a succinct and powerful video.
Why even bother developing design skills when you can just go to sites like Canva and mix and match?
This worries me as there’s parallels with the collapse of stock imagery due to over-saturation; Shutterstock being an example.
Shutterstock management decided they could cut artist payouts and not suffer a downturn in the raw material of their business; photographers’ submissions.
And they were right.
Professional photographers who’d been making a living through Shutterstock, suddenly found they’d lost up to 60% of their income – but there’s still plenty of people uploading their iPhone snaps (using bulk upload services), in the hopes of making a few dollars and they’re often just good enough.
And Shutterstock’s stock market price rocketed upwards in response.
With the market over-supplied, how long before Redbubble or Amazon decide they can squeeze artists for an easy lift in profits too?
I was sure for that masterpiece of English humour at the end! Definitely love it! 😄😄
Nice summary. Thx
We miss you so much man ❤
Haha this is the first time I see my name on a video. Thank you friend
Amazing video! Wanted to request a video on tag spamming.. I’m seeing that about 80% of tags on trending and best selling shirts are tags such as: “you are dino mite” written ten times with a 1 at the end, then a 2, and so on. It appears they’re exploiting the system? The way I understood it was that using the same words over and over did nothing for your exposure so how are they getting trending and best selling by doing this?
Do I need to have a PayPal business account for redbubble?
Great video Uncle Owl and thanks, your favourite nephew. I have a xp pen display, wondered if you had any ideas on how to use this best with print on demand. Thanks !
Thank you my friend! You are the best!
Motivate me to keep pushing always
Heart hugs 🤗
Thanks for the great information
plz can you made tutorial about zazzle and spreadshirt?
Hey there love your videos. I’ve learnt so much from you. Thank you.
Just one question: One of the sites I’m on is Etsy using Printful. Since Brexit Etsy have put vat on all my tees and mugs (I’m not vat registered in the uk) making them far too expensive for customers. Anyone else having the same problem?
Thanks Carole! That’s great to hear. Yep, tell me about it. I gues there are two options – increase fees to compensate, or just accept it. Personally, I’ve just taken the hit on UK orders. Most of my audience on Etsy is US anyway, but it’s still annoying. I don’t want to increase prices any further right now, so just have to put up with the charges.
This video is short..but the description is treasure !! So many useful sites👍👍❤️
Hi Passive Owl I have make a sale on Redbubble but now what should i do to generate more ?
What’s the link to the Merch How to Find What Sells video? It’s not in the description. Thx!
@Passive Owl Thank you!
Thanks for pointing that out – oops! Here it is https://youtu.be/X9yGF7w1GW8
Your accent ?? Which place are you from dude??
Sounds Yorkshire or northern English to me, based on all the Brit TV I’ve watched my life. (I’m American) 😊
@Passive Owl New Zealand
Guess! 😉
Hi Craig! I wonder if etsy ads still works for you? Cause I got 2 sales organically within a week.. but I got 0 sale from ads, just sucking up my money for a week now, do you have any advice?
@Passive Owl okay! Thank you so much:)
I run them during seasonal trends (i.e. Christmas) but otherwise I leave it organic now. If you’re getting organic sales already then no need for the ads! It can be hit and miss as it depends on who happens to view it – perhaps you just got unlucky.
Can you please make Printful Vs Printfy & also they say that BigCommerce is better than shopify I’d like to see a video on the best Marketplace , can you do that please !
Great idea! Thanks for the recommendation, I’ve got quite a long list of vids I’m in the process of making but I’ll add this too.
Cheers for the shoutout!

@Passive Owl mind putting the link here
I’ve got a video all about sizes – check it out! There’s so many variations so best to check. In the description of that vid, there’s a huuuuuge list.
Any advice about how to reapply to Merch by Amazon?
Just been rejected ☹ I’ve emailed and asked why and they said they cannot tell me and that there is NO path to reapply !
@Passive Owl thanks, I’ll give it a few weeks then try that 🙂
Try clearing cookies/cache/different device. I used the same email to reapply and it worked but perhaps things have changed and there’s a cooling off period.
Just create another email account and reapply using the new one. I also got rejected several times. Still trying to get through it.
Thank you for the great information!!!!
Thanks
Yay, Thanks again for the great content! I Hope everything is fine. You are definitively the numberwhen comes to teach print on demand.
Thanks so much Felipe!
